I would say that the script-writing is the first part of any low-budget movie to suffer, but honestly a lot of the action scenes looked a lot more realistic than Marvel or Jurassic Park movies - e.g. where the "bomb expert" tries to throw dynamite at the giant snake, but fumbles it... The casting is even more unrealistic (a very young and pretty doctor etc.), but Hollywood does the same thing too, so ... I guess the movie was ok?

Considering the design I would say they just went for a giant cobra as it is way too large to be a Titanoboa even though it would be cool if it actually is supposed to be a Titanoboa and it still could be despite it's design.
