Timely wimley, Wibbly Wobbley The Future is the past, and at the same time, the past is the future past, and the future is the causality paradox. While at the same time, the "main character" which creates the present future based on what he experienced in his past, which he sent back from.... - Bootstrap Paradox. Then the girl finds in a museum (before she was born) that there is a robot version of her decides to meet the man who created her future, and fall in love again. (grandfather paradox?) or predestined paradox? Simple right?

I watched the movie more than 10 years years ago. While I love watching recap video but i have to say watching the movie is much better. I remember crying when Jiro went to his hometown, also when the cyborg died & even more when I found out it was a happy ending. The acting was great, the music was great, everything about this movie is great.

3:18 i love how even tho she is supposed to be robot and has no emotions but when she blasting champagne to his face we can see the actor who play her in this movie is smiling a bit while blastin the wine or champagne to his face and also 5:08 i love how when she run supper speed she carry him on her shoulder but what she really carry is a fake body..like a fake human prop or fake waist down human body.

Cyborg Girl needs to be seen in its entirety to escape a superficial comparison with Terminator-albeit time-traveling, super strong robots are the main characters in both. Cyborg Girl [CG] is more like the movie Her. We gradually accept the functional equivalency of artificial intelligence with human thought, emotions-and most importantly-memories in both movies. When CG meets her demise saving Jiro, we cry for the loss of an entity that that was more human than eggbeater. At 14:00, the writer shows that the CG memories are the movies in Future Girl's life. What else do we do when a movie touches us, but take it into our hearts as Future Girl does? The power of CG's memories changed Future Girl and Jiro's destiny. We don't grant movies status as artificial intelligence, but we allow them power to change our own lives.

This story reminds me of "The Returner" wherein the female character from the future, actually returned more than once to the past, but the male character from the past, thought it was all the same person . I'd like to see that movie again but can't seem to find it on any streaming sites.

aha, but if Chiro lives happily ever after with the real girl who was based for the robot appearance, then he wont feel the urge to actually build her and the girl in the future will never have the motivation to time travel to the past to live with him, creating a huge paradox.

Her staying with him created a divergent timeline, or he ends up creating it anyway for a different reason. Time already looped at least once in order for him to create a cyborg duplicate of the woman he fell for, and for her to experience that cyborg's memories, fall for him, and go back in time for the "first time." She broke the loop by staying back in the past with him.
