Have the same device.... your lack of proper setup shows you're not used to a machine like it... 1psi will not rupture a tank... you had the regulator cranked to max on startup... it really pays to read instructions before condemning a device... for the value it's been a handy machine

Most evap systems recommend less than 0.4psi. I found this machine nearly impossible to control it below 2 or 3 psi. It would be ideal for testing charge air coolers though. Some diesels go 25 to 30 psi and I thought about keeping it for that purpose. Thanks for the comment.

I bought the autool and set it up with a dual port valve with a regulator routed off one port.

I’ve had mine over a year and it’s worked great for me so far. I honestly couldn’t ask for more from a unit. May be you just got a bad one🤷🏼‍♂️

That's possible but I found it very difficult to control the pressure which for evap testing needs to be very low, less than 0.5psi, or 13"h2o or you could rupture a tank or canister. It would be useful for turbo intercooler and even AC testing possibly. Thanks for the comment and merry Christmas.

Why was it not turning on. Was you doing something wrong. I can’t believe that handle broke just taking it out of the box. I need a smoke machine. I made one that works good but it doesn’t have any of the gauges to see what size leak you have or anything like that.

it was one third of the price of the Motorvac Coolsmoke. Yes it could have some uses such as intercooler testing under higher pressure but not evap as the pressure is too hard to safely control.

Your turning it to the + That means the pressure will go up. The - means negative which will remove pressure. This video is so hard to watch. Its pretty clear you cant read. Youd rather break it and let someone else pay for the damages.

wrong, the video is correct. That is a flowgauge not a pressure regulator. It will adjust the volume of air going through at that time and but when the hose is blocked the pressure will still build up.
