Thank you once again. A excellent video on how to change the colour of the print. And the finished print looked great.

Thanks - interesting to see your method. I was also wondering (like previous commenter) whether you had these developed C41 or ECN2 - they look quite contrasty & dense for ECN2.
@NordicLab2 жыл бұрын
It’s ECN2, actually fill developed in ecn2 even if it’s standard color film looks better then c41 processing
@hansformat7 ай бұрын
So RA4 works fine on ecn-2 developed film. Very good work
@NordicLab7 ай бұрын
Yes, why not? Most of the things about ECN2 - totally myths. In general 400D and 800T produces results better than portra400 and portra800. It general movie film just better in all usages if developed by professionals.

Hi, great to watch your technique, learn from it, and compare to my own. I use the same Adox chemistry. Though I dump them after each development and fix. It looks like you save it? Do you reuse them? How long can it go? Thanks, keep making these valuable videos on a very rare process.
@NordicLab Жыл бұрын
Yep, i reuse it, you can use it up to 20-30 rotations, but for me i think ill trough it away more frequently even before it’s bad because it’s bad in storage and it’s not really expensive. Thx for support 👍

Aleksandr got a question? Looking the film developed…it has density. Was it developed in c41 or ecn2?
@arturors302 жыл бұрын
It seems good color and contrast. Think it about buy and develop it my self.
@NordicLab2 жыл бұрын
This one developed in ECN2 in the lab, but in general both c41 and ecn2 should work for modern color film

So you basically slightly pushed the paper to compensate for the slightly lower contrast of the ECN2 negs?
@NordicLab9 ай бұрын
They don’t have lower contrast, it’s a myth, if you develop ECN2 in C41 chemistry or develop it wrong. Low contrast can be only on Kodak 160D, it’s a bit flat 👍
@VariTimo9 ай бұрын
@@NordicLab No ECN2 developed films definitely have lower contrast than C41. But it’s not as dramatic as people make it out to be and not for the reason most people say. It’s because print film and going through a print circle adds contrast. But yeah the difference is subtle.

I never got any reasonable quality prints from Vision3 stock, at least when developed in C-41. Color crossover seems to be an issue, and it can't really be corrected in a darkroom setting.
@NordicLab Жыл бұрын
Nope, film always should be developed on specs, otherwise color deviation what you see not in color balance, but in color dynamic range and it’s not fixable anymore

Hey Aleksander, I've been enjoying your channel very much. How do you dry you test strips so fast? Or do you just stick them wet in the book? Or is it just my impression because of the cuts in the edit of the video? Cheers from Greece!

Maybe sound crazy but it was done in the past with great results. After washing the print, dip the print in alcohol. Better isopropyl alcohol. This one don’t leaves marks.
@NordicLab2 жыл бұрын
Special amazing technology device called - hair dryer 😂 30 seconds and it’s completely dry. But in general development in the drum not soaked paper and emissions to much, so it also dry faster. Thx for support 👍

I had heard that you cannot print ECN2 developed film, and that even if you do it, the colours will be washed out, as its a process meant for C-41 developed film. Glad to know that is not the case
@АрсенийСиренко-н5й2 жыл бұрын
Try to experiment with the chemistry temperature, make some prints developed in room temperature
@NordicLab2 жыл бұрын
It make no sense- developing at room temperature creates huge amounts of problems with dynamic range on different color layers. I prefer quality 😂
