Took me some years to figure out but yea, showing up 15-20 minutes early a cup of coffee and some laughs in the lunchroom makes the workday much much better.

Not just in the lunchroom/break room but while on the floor working, I share laughs right near customers as much as I can, helps brighten their day as well, also if a customer is being unruly 😂

Man good ol family cheesyness. I remember my folks pawing at me like this and being mildly annoying when I got my first busboy job out of highschool at 18. Now I am a 28 year old deputy sheriff and that state of mind and that ease seems like another lifetime, now my parents come to me for comfort and advice which I am grateful for dont get me wrong. But I see my parents maybe every other weekend and I miss those days sometimes. Hang onto it while it lasts

I can understand any nervous emotions she may be going through. I used to work at Jimmy John's and I did for six months. And I will never say this enough, the people who work in the food/retail industry never ever get enough credit. They always work so hard and diligently to please and fulfill a need. The best you can do his to take any problem with a smile and a calm attitude. Best of luck to you Abby. May the force be with you... by the way don't forget to eat your spinach.
