Fun fact malls cover up a lot of shit. There was a shooting at the Moorestown Mall back in December of 2018. People were taking cover as two guys exchanged gunfire, shattering windows and leaving holes in the ceiling and floors. I had a video of it. I waited for it to appear in the news and it never did, there's basically no mention of it at all anywhere aside from people who talked about it on snapchat that day. A day after the shooting it was like it never happened. Windows were missing but everything was cleaned up, any holes in the walls had posters or patching on them, and they moved a mall stands and small decorations over the destroyed floor tiles. The mall also proceeded to get robbed as a result of no police intervention multiple times after this and nothing was in the news. All this happened in one month.

This story is fantastic but just so people know, it's wholly unrealistic. Elevators have multiple cables, all rated to hold the elevator alone and much more. They have a safety factor of like 11, which means they can hold 11x their rated weight limit. Elevators have multiple braking systems, including a centrifugal one that engages directly proportional to speed, forcing a slow top freefall speed. There's tons of room underneath an elevator due to massive springs there to break a fall if there ever could be one, more than plenty for someone to sit. Elevator doors stop and retract if they hit any resistance
@roul48423 жыл бұрын

Well... I mean it’s never bad to just have decorum or rules of conduct while riding an elevator, but there is no real reason that you would have to wait. Hell, you could, if you wanted, exit the elevator at any point in the door’s travel. They’re not only electronically programmed to restrict how forcefully they both open and close, pretty much all modern elevators are mechanically unable to close with enough force to harm someone. There are also laser arrays that cause the doors to open if the curtain is interrupted by anything larger than the diameter of your finger

A typical elevator holds 1800-2500lbs. And there are 4-6 cables on an elevator. The odds of cables snapping are slim to none. You are more likely to crash UP than down. Been an elevator mechanic for 17.5 years. Seen crazy things but again thats another story.

A few problems. 1. Lucifer was an Angel when he challenged God over Job. This was before The Fall. 2. Elevators have an automatic system to catch falling elevators, so they don't free fall anymore. 3. Escalators lock up nowadays. When one breaks, they cease up and are used as stairs. Only severe repairs cause them to close. 4. The Mayans were a nearly dead civilization by the time the Conquistadors landed. The Aztecs were the major power in Central America at the time. 5. Michael was a Seraphim who lead the Archangels. He had 7 wings and only his eyes would be visible. He is frequently portrayed as a normal Archangel. Good story all in all. If the author sees this, I hope this helps you update things if you want to.

I've never really been into creepypasta So this is sort of my first one. In a while at least. Your voice is one of those good ones for reading! I think that plus the fact your visuals aren't just some generic but horrifying faces really helped me enjoy this :) Thank you!

During orientation for elevator repair they tell you that the 5 most important things to remember are as follows: 1. *DO NOT* ever *BORED* or *DISEMBARK* from the *ELEVATOR UNTIL BOTH* the car’s and the shaft’s *DOORS* are *COMPLETELY OPEN* when the car arrives at a stop. 2. If *ANYTHING* is *CAUGHT INSIDE* the closing *ELEVATOR DOORS* it *WILL* likely *NOT SURVIVE* the encounter; if it is a body part that was caught, your belt can be used as a makeshift tourniquet. *WRAP* the *BELT AROUND* the *TRAPPED BODY PART* and *TIGHTEN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE* to help prevent the victim from bleeding out. 3. *NEVER ENTER OR EXIT* the elevator *UNTIL* the *DOORS* are *OPEN FULLY!* 4. If you’re caught in a rapidly ascending/descending elevator, *LAY DOWN FLAT ON* your *BACK, COVER* your *HEAD WITH* your *HARDHAT, SPREAD* your *LIMBS OUT,* close your eyes and *BRACE* for impact. The elevator is likely in the process of catastrophic failure and all failsafes have been defeated. If you’re fortunate you’ll make it, if you’re even more lucky you’ll break only a few bones. 5. *DON’T GET IN OR OUT OF THE ELEVATOR UNTIL THE DOORS ARE FULLY OPEN!*

I am crippled and use a wheelchair so I have no other option but to use the elevator. I am already terrified of them... this story? Doesn't help at all.

Well this didn't help my fear of elevators. Laugh at me if you want but I take the stares if I have the option.

Look at the bright side, you won’t have to worry about anything ever again!

So you enjoy people staring at you instead of taking the elevator? Must be fun being late constantly.

It was terrifying. It was funny. It was sweet. It made me roll my eyes. What more could I ask for? Loved it.

@@dorothyaebutcher7103 you're right I would prefer something short like "this strange scarecrow keeps appearing in front of my apartment building after I ate a very strange tasting microwave burrito" 😒

It took me a while to realise this wasn’t just a blue collar guy getting screwed around by property managers and is actually some scurry ish! 😂🤣. I’m listening along like ‘yup, the owner class do be like that!!!’ Great story, brilliant voice work, love the narrating character, his dry humour is top notch!!! Xx
