Current hardware is too expensive and limited, Sony's moto is that they started selling their consoles at a loss to push their subscription membership. People would boycott if Sony tried selling a $2000 console that you needed a membership to play on, and switch to PC, especially in this economy. Edit: except for Nintendo, we will see another Nintendo console sooner than later. The current Switch is severely outdated and Nintendo's consoles are less demanding than their competitors, so their slightly more affordable.

Honestly most people screaming about the game not running well on previous consoles have little to no ability to perceive how game dev works at a basic level, let alone comped AAA games from huge studios. The fact of the matter is, there are still TONS of people who don’t have XBSX and PS5, consoles get more expensive and harder to acquire, and in times of financial issues, this happens. Just be glad the developers haven’t complete abandoned half the community just to make their lives easier.

And the lifecycle of modern consoles is not shorter than that of older ones, if anything it’s far greater. No, this sucks that means development time was put into last gen it released 4 almost 5 years ago, and people need to get the new console already or move to PC.

Found it funny it’s pre orders are actually selling I rather pay for game pass which I already do, and considering all dlc are free now no point in vault bundle as it’s only skins which you can’t really see yourself 😂🤣
