Great! Thank you so much for an amazing show. The Tree shown at first is Shimul in Bengali (Bombax Ceiba) or Silk Cotton Tree and at 1:22 it is a "Mandar" Tree "Coral" ...so far I understand! Thanks everyone who guided us to the right Identification.

Beautiful film , a single tree is food for so many species of birds and needless to say many insects too. Didnt know that treepies, babblers, mynas and woodpeckers would go for the flowers. Lovely documentation, wish the music was softer and the bird calls much highlighted.

Yes, each tree supports an ecosystem of its own. I think the second tree is Erythrina Variegata (Indian Coral Tree)

Fabulous video! Thank you for posing this! Such a wealth of birds, and so vividly and beautifully filmed! I do wish, though, that you had not added background music. it is always an intrusion in Nature films. Of course, I watched with the speaker off, but then I couldn't hear the bird calls!

What's repeatedly shown in the video where birds are feeding is the coral tree Erythrina so., not the silk cotton tree Bombax sp. if I'm right. V different flowers is the clear give away.

Lose the music. Or, lower and level it. I would like to hear what you are filming and you could tell us so much more about everything you are filming. A little more time on each bird, video and information. In this format, I won't watch anymore. So much to offer but next to nothing shared. These are places I will never see and know nothing about and you could so easily change that. Instead, it's a high-speed slide show and some jerk is blasting music in my ear.

The work is so painstaking !! Salute your patience.... just one minor nitpicking criticism : could you perhaps change the title to include "flame of the forest" since you are presenting birds feeding on both ? I am not a botanist but the missing labeling still jars !

It is nice that you noticed. it is not possible to make changes now, but on the description of the film i wrote "silk cotton tree" and "flame of the forest". i will soon publish a movie about birds of Goa where i will tell more about the birds and the trees are feeding on.
