Nice one Daz, we did an epic a few years back with Tan Hill, Great Dun Fell and then came up to Lamps Moss towards the end of the ride. A bit of a killer when you can see it rising diagonally along that wall !. Glad we had a descent of Tan Hill to Muker afterwards. Superb scenery on Howgill Lane, I've just come back from a walking weekend in Sedbergh - some fantastic lanes !

That sounds like a top day out in the hills Mark. It is a fabulous area to keep on visiting whether you are on the bike or on foot. How many feet did you climb on that ride ?

Just epic 👍 The drone footage was the cream on top of the jam covered scone 😉

Thanks For feedback, the drone shot really gave you an insight into how beautiful that road was to cycle down.

We were in that cafe yesterday PM, we’d done Wild Boar Fell. Some hard ascending around there Daz. That one out of Garsdale Station is incredibly steep.

It is a small world Sophie. I have been focusing on this area quite a bit this year because it is a key place for most C2C and End to End rides to pass by and, it has so many classic hill climbs all within a close proximity to each other. I haven't walked up Wild Boar but at over 2300ft ASL, it looks like a good one .

I am liking your interpretation of the Cream tea James, whether it's a Welsh one, Cornish one, English one or a Devon.... All I can say though is that you get out to this part of the world on your bike and have an adventure. It really is that good ! If you do, let me know how you get on.

Oh yes it all looks familiar as I’ve done those and they are tough but worth the view esp to top of lamps moss and that descent going east is sublime , for me the three tough climbs around there is fleak moss fleet moss and old coal road (other side of garsdale head) yeah hiwgill lane is very good only I did it the other way great little road . Another gem is oxnop scar
@MrDazP1adv3ntures2 жыл бұрын
It sounds like you know this place like the back your hand my friend, I'm getting there slowly ... It has to be said that this part of Cumbria / Yorkshire Dales, is absolutely fantastic. Mike has mentioned a few more climbs in this area and we planned on doing a few more on this ride but the weather changed the original route plan.
@252Scooby2 жыл бұрын
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures glad you like that area , for me i prefer it over the lakes sorry Cumbria . In time try out either side up white shaw moss you’ll love it and further along west is Leck fell at Cowan bridge & bull pot for brilliant dead end climbs . I did buttertubs reverse so the descent is cycling nirvana

Brother Daz next time you go to dent go and see if you can see Whernside Manor it has an interesting history and dark history and is believed to be part of the inspiration of Emily Bronte's Wuthering heights, its on the outskirts of Dent. Your subscribers may enjoy seeing it as the Brontes are very famous Loved your video. as you may remember me saying I grew up in Sedbergh so what's not its like its a lovely area.

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge there Jim, it is really appreciated. I cycled over to Dent a few weeks previously with Mike and he was blown away with it's natural beauty. I am a bit out of sync with my videos at present and have so many to edit but this one was filmed after we originally cycled to Dent from the Clapham side.

Hello Daniel, I need to look into sharing my data in the description of these videos but I try to give as much information as possible in the narration, I know it's not quite a gpx file though which would make things so much easier.
