Great video Daz. I agree that crossroads are like the gateway to the Dales and beyond. Brought a lot of memories back of doing the c2c last year
@MrDazP1adv3ntures10 ай бұрын
Yes that's right CDW, a lot of the c2c routes pass through this area and sometimes you don't realise that you have been here before and then all of a sudden you recognise a gate or a bridge somewhere
@ChrisW44410 ай бұрын
Loved that and especially your committment at the end to take the shot of you heading into the distance, rear light showing, knowing that you had to come all the way back and go again. Most would have given up by then and chosen not to take that shot. Top effort as always, keep them coming. Cheers.
@MrDazP1adv3ntures10 ай бұрын
Hey thanks Chris for mentioning this, it means a lot to me. They are only simple shots but this one I had to do a few times and the same on that long stretch of open road at dusk. I often wonder how many miles I could have actually ridden if I didn't film the rides, but I am really enjoying this side to the hobby.
@ChrisW44410 ай бұрын
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures Daz, I and I am sure everyone who watches your stuff really appreciate the effort you put in. Us mere mortals just do the rides and probably most, like me, no where near what you do so to do the extra filming and stuff is great. Glad you're enjoying it, we certainly love what you do, where you go and how professional it looks. 👍

I agree with every word you said Chris. I think that’s why these films are such high quality and well thought out and made. I’m sure most of us would have packed off home early but oh no, not Daz😂 There are lots of cyclists out there in “KZbin” land who produce similar videos but certainly none that I have seen measure up to Darren’s professionalism. And as you say Chris, very much appreciated by the likes of us that perhaps can’t manage so many miles every ride but somehow don’t feel excluded from Darren’s videos.
@MrDazP1adv3ntures10 ай бұрын
Thank you Steve. I guess I am a cycling addict and making the videos is becoming another facet to it all. If I can get more and more people to visit some of these locations and admire the views with their own eyes, then that is mission accomplished.

I am not a quick rider by any stretch of the imagination, but it's always nice to get out to new places and explore. You must have some great local knowledge of the Lake District. I have walked most of the fells over the years and was a keen walker when the dogs were much younger. I even took on some of the summits with crampons and an ice axe, often wondering, should I be doing this !
