@deathkampdrone Жыл бұрын
Totally agree with you. Tbh prefer Tony over Alan White doing the same shitty shuffle on different BPM for three albums straight. Tony is more punk, but Whites style probably worked really well in studio as the layers of guitar dubs multiplied with each album session xD

I doubt if they would have breakout without Tony, his drumming on Supersonic is what makes that song stand out.
@buddhull9 ай бұрын
Alan could bring Noel’s mounds of yak-fueled guitar noodling back down to Earth and make it sound middling. Tony could make their early driving rock songs sound like they simply had to be reckoned with as he forcibly pounded patterns neither too dense nor too deep; it was simply exactly what was needed to make them larger than live.

tony was always the best drummer for Oasis, he just needed a few lessons to evolve, It was a shitty thing they did to him, met him once in a pub in Wythenshawe, you could tell he was still gutted by it, he was talking about his new band and how was still doing music, I'm a musician myself and I've been fucked over a few times by bands and managers, I really felt for the guy, my little brother, who is friends with tony, was like "this is our kid Jason, he's a singer and a guitar player, you should get him in your band " I never entertained the idea even for one second, we are about the same age, my time to be a rock star was 20 years ago, I did wish him all the best luck in the world though. good night , he was a nice guy.
