The balls were checked at half-time in the Colt's game and all were re-inflated to league specifications at that point. The Patriots went on their biggest scoring spree in the second half with properly inflated balls. Only one ball was found to be two pounds under-inflated, perhaps due to weather conditions or some particular knock that ball took. The other 11 were within a whisper of proper weight. The officials handle the ball after every play, so the difference couldn't have been as egregious as some people imagine. It's also funny to look back on Mike Francesa's grand pronouncements that are completely wrong! The NFL MUST resolve "deflate-gate" BEFORE the Super Bowl! Belichick must be banned from coaching the Super Bowl or lose a draft pick! Nonsense.
