If you have a problem with the pads, edison has a menu for how the markers are triggered. You can set that to "MPC pads" and that worked for me when I tried it. You can even play it straight from edison.

Honesly, all I do is dig. I put my Apple Music on infinite loop(or whatever it’s called) and it just plays music within that era or similar to the first song you started with. You’ll stumble upon so many good songs to sample.

I don't have a MIDI yet, Im still using my typing keyboard. So my question is once I have all my markers in place in Edison how do i proceed to play the chops with my keyboard and lay them down onto the piano roll? how do I assign each marker to a certain button on my keyboard or to a key in the Piano roll?

I feel like this is a dumb question but how do you bounce around the sample once you split it up its driving me crazy. You can just open the same sample in slicex , mute auto dump, and put chops/regions with double click (right mouse click) and done 🙏
