Absolutely gorgeous!! Same here!! 😍😍😍😍I loved it the Second I saw it!! I want one. 😭😭I've been looking for a round table forever but that's it. I would add rope handles to the top for more of the farmhouse style and easy lifting for storage of blankets, throws etc. Hope your have a wonderful day. Thanks so much for sharing.
@MrDiyDork7 жыл бұрын
Rope handles would be a cool touch and would be pretty easy to add. Thanks for checking it out!

Loving this idea. Like that your using reclaimed wood too!
@MrDiyDork7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I had several big pieces of that wood in my basement, and I thought this would be a perfect way to use some of it up.

The color of the wood on top came out beautifully! I love it!

Thanks! That's the jar of homemade wood stain I made a while back when we were renovating our bathroom.

Perfect backyard storage table!
@MrDiyDork7 жыл бұрын
It would work great like that! Maybe drill a couple of holes in the bottom if it's going to see a lot of rain just in case.

I thought it was going to be a table/ice tub for drinks. You always do a nice job.
@MrDiyDork7 жыл бұрын
You could totally do that with it. The cashier at Tractor Supply suggested using it for drinks, too.

regarding the jigsaw cut, i have a top o the line crapsman and it tends to do the same thing if i use thin blades in thick wood. i found useing better blades and thicker ones in thicker wood helps. rarely can i get it to cut spot on which is why i also use my routers. nice table idea as well you have lots of good ideas
@MrDiyDork7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I'm thinking the 2x's are just a bit too thick to get a decent cut with the jig saw.

If you attached a strand of tiny LEDs under the top, along the upper edge of the bucket, at night, the lights would illuminate down and perhaps reflect off the bucket, making it appear to glow. (Very spaceship-y. *w*) Just a thought.

That would be really cool!

The table top stain looks amazing. How about sealing the bottom and use it as a drinks cooler :)
@MrDiyDork7 жыл бұрын
Sure. You could do that pretty easily to it.
@scruffy2816 жыл бұрын
I didn't think of the sealing of it (good thought), but I did think wow, just roll that top away and fill it with drinks and Ice!!!

You should do one with your rust technique on the tub and then a slick painted finish in ocean blue on the top. Leave the feet raw (sanded, but raw) and it would look really beachy!
@MrDiyDork7 жыл бұрын
That would look really cool too!

where do you plan on using it/placing it?
@MrDiyDork7 жыл бұрын
I'm going to flip it on Craigslist, but the intention is a coffee table or big side table.
@susanvasquez36256 жыл бұрын
If you miter the cross pieces so they are just a bit too small away from the lid, and just a TOUCH too big where they screw into the lid, they will snug into place perfectly by pushing the metal out just a touch in four directions. Nice pressure attachment. Great job though, and thanks for the idea, I think I need to make one of these for myself!

Hi there! I enjoy your videos. Question: how much did you pay for the router? ( the power tool that cut the circle nicely) and where do you get one?

You could have turned the tub down and put a lazy Susan on the metal to screw to the table top, just a thought👻
@MrDiyDork7 жыл бұрын
That's a great idea. My wife wanted me to make a table with a lazy susan, but I did this instead. I might have to try your idea out sometime.
