Just wondering....as it’s a 24 hr ration, it’d be impossible to eat everything, but what happens to all the opened packs??? Are they eaten over the rest of the day or thrown in the trash? Always wondered! Add to that, the french rations are one of the best quality, best tasting, healthiest rations I’ve ever tried!

Almost forgot to watch this review. As always a good review. The french never disappoint you. There are some new components in it. I have to dig through my older RCIR menu 1. I have one with the ostrich and tuna with potatoes. Man you really had some luck getting dates as desert. Super healthy.

I remember trying this menu i thought everything was really good but the mains needed some salt and pepper. The tuna and potatoes were a lot better than i thought they would be. Funny though i did not get a fish soup lol. Thanks for sharing Nathan!

Best wishes from Northern Ireland. Being from the UK I find that the French & UK military rations are the easiest and cheapest to buy. Probably because of mileage travelled. Still think they are the best in quality as well.

Time to sharpen that knife you think? Maybe switch over to a scissor and remove the ENTIRE top of whatever pouch so you don't have to fuss around with trying to get the TINY opening you prefer to allow the contents to pour out? Not too hard to figure out, IMO. Just sayin'. LOL

Maybe this has already been suggested in the past,.. but I’ve always wondered if the “feeding the homeless” problem could somehow be solved by developing a custom MRE (no sharps or anything that could be unsafe). Or, a campaign supported by MRE Reviewers and Viewers to open-source a website to design homeless-MRE ideas. I think it could totally work if everyone got behind it. If they can raise $20 Million for trees, ...

I like your background, that's really creative, but I think you should bring those items nearer in screen as you did in videos before. This seems kind of "yea, let's just throw those in there so you might see anything if you concentrate", kind of weird. I'd rather put it more in screen, so that seems more wanted. It is all about camera angle, the issue is that I can't get close up on the food if I have the background in the frame, I start the video on wide angle so you can see the background then I unpack the food, then turn it to linear when I eat the food

The French soldiers eat well but I can’t help thinking that all that trash must be a pain to get rid of. I used the MRE bag itself as a trash bag when I was out in the field but that French MRE looks like a lot of trash. I guess it’s a trade off.
