Hello please someone help. I’m in year 8 i have a very important assessment coming up that determines me getting into set 1 English from set 2. We are reading a book called private peaceful and we have to explain “ how morpurgo creates a sense of tragedy in pages 14-18 of private peaceful at tommos fathers death. I have picked out 4 quotes but I’m stuck on how to explain them. My quotes are “ i have killed my own father”, “the earth thuds and thumps down on the coffin behind us as we drift away leaving him” , “ if only I had tried to save myelf, if I had run he would not now be lying dead in his coffin” and (what I think is my best quote) “i want father to hear the birds for the last time before the earth closes in on top of him and he has nothing left but science” SOMEONE PLEASE GUIDE AND HELP ME. What language techniques do the quotes show and how can I explain this in detail to get the best mark possible. PLEASE SOMEONE!.

What's the best way to get grade 9 on paper 1 question 5 descriptive or making a story
@tytracktytrack52873 жыл бұрын
Our school doesn’t even let us do stories they say descriptive is way more likely to get you higher marks but if you’re really good at story writing it would be better to do story
@Xarze2 жыл бұрын
@Nobody it's not really the story that gets you marks it's the technique I got a 32 on that question and my main character was on his bed through the whole story
@mu99562 жыл бұрын
Descriptive is wayyy better. Less things to think about like the plot and development and easier to get higher marks
