just so you know, the comics and game always took place in the same universe, they were never separate. thats why we have glenn, hershel, shawn, and lilly (she was supposed to be lilly caul before the novels were made which fucked that up for telltale) were in it.

In the beginning, the comics and game were the same universe. But later, Kirkman said in the letter hacks of the comics that the comics, game, and TV show were then considered 3 separate universes. Then when they created the Michonne game, they said they were officially make the comics and game the same universe again.
