I remember being like, "wtf? How did Moose get there in a day???" Then I remembered they were in Miami and Moose is just a short flight away. The last movie has, in my opinion, some of the best and most creative scenes in the franchise. Also, let's not forget Moose is a double major...comes in handy.

11:06 I know Ryan Guzman (Sean) was in a few small projects before. But after this he acted in a movie with Jennifer Lopez. And for the past few years he's a series regular in 9-1-1, a TV show that stars Angela Basset and Peter Krause. He's one of my favorites in that show, and his acting has improved a lot

Fun fact: the blonde lady at the dance company is Mia Michaels. She’s a choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance. She’s also worked with a lot of artists for their tours, as well as Cirque du Soleil.

This is my favorite Step Up bc of the choreography and how it showcases all of dancing as an artform, but I will never get over how they edited the final contemporary piece. There's a practice video of the full dance and basically at the end, Kathryn McCormick runs into a full on jump dive and he catches her by the waist and rotates her by basically 360 degrees and its soooo sick and beautiful, but they cut it out for whatever reason. Partnering in contemporary can be really tough to do, not just bc of the technicality but the trust you gotta have, and the final edit doesn't do the choreography any justice at all.

The difference between 2-5 and the first one is that the majority of the characters are actual dancers who can act, but the first passion is dancing. Fun fact the director of the school was a judge on So You Think You Can Dance.

I used to be obsessed with So You Think You Can Dance and I knew Kathryn from the show, I loved her in it. She is known as a contemporary dancer and I'm glad she got to show it off in the movie. She's clearly a dancer though and not an actor 😄

Actually there was another step up after All in, its called Step up China, it came out in 2019, with some popular dancers like Sean Lew and Jade Chynoweth in it. And there was a show made on youtube Called Step up High Water, with Ne Yo and Naya Rivera, loved the 1st season.

There’s actually a series they made on KZbin called step up high water I’m sure it was 1 season and the director or producer I think his name was Jon m chu wanted to move the series to china where they made the 6th movie which is subbed and available on prime video

I think the majority of us fans probably have a complicated relationship with 5 because as far as the dancing, I...tend to think of this one and 3 as the overall best - the water scene and Moose in general is the most iconic, but as far as best choreography/creativity/art side of things, the art gallery scene lives in my head rent free to this day. But storyline, acting wise it's definitely the weakest, and then only having a snippet of Moose drags it down so coming out of it feeling ??? is probably expected. This one the plot stayed with me the least, but the dances stayed with me the most overall which is...the overall point of the movies, I guess!
