Don't worry too much about that abandoned mission Mr. Fruit! The devs stated that civi mission was bugged causing endless waves of bots to charge like crazy even at the lowest difficulties.

This is not a bug. You just need to split the squad into 2 parts. Three people go far from the base, and then only they have bot ships. A fourth man in a stealth suit launches the residents. Only individual small patrols will come to him. This mission is relatively easy even on 9 difficulty. Just split squad and dont use stratagems on the base.

Fun fact: when on fire or slowed by the environment, dive. It will remove the effect. Also, the side objective where you gotta rotate the radar dish. Whoever is rotating the radar, look for the yellow blinking lights. That is the direction the radar should be pointing.

When in doubt, JUST DIVE! Seriously though, diving has saved me so many damn times in this game... Even just getting out of being swarmed/stunlocked to death. I've pulled off so many "how am I still alive?!?" moments just from diving at the right time + stim pop timing. Feels awesome 😂

Hey, fun fact! The chargers do die once you blow their back out (…wait) they just take a little while to die after like most bugs, if you haven’t noticed some of them still move even when their heads get blown up. I have found that if you want to rely on killing the charger by hitting that ass (…hold on now) you can hit 3-4 auto-cannon shots and then just keep about your business as they will die shortly. So don’t feel bad if you think you gave out bad info, you haven’t!

Mines are for extraction, you don't lay them down till extraction phase when you start the mine layer runs the paramenter laying down mines while the lead calls in the extraction then you stay center.

The key to this game staying with me is how different my loadouts are against bugs vs robots. Bugs? Give me that jump pack, and all the aoe and strikes I can get. Hop on a rock, drop an orbital move on. pick up the random sample of my teammates so we can keep mobile. Robots? please god don't put me on top of anything to get shot. Armor smashing, orbitals, and a turret to make them turn are my go to. clear and sweep, since running from them is way harder, and you always have to be ready for a drop on your head. Although in melee you actually can run around them, so sticking in your temporary 'stronghold' doesn't instantly fuck you the way it does vs bugs.

Ok, heres some numbers I have been told, however I can't confirm if they're exact, shooting at a Charger(dmg multipliers): hit on armor= 0% dmg (+ danger of deflected shots hitting Helldivers), hit on butt= 100% dmg, hit on exposed legs 300% dmg. Also some numbers on how many shots you need to break the leg armor and what weapon, again can't confirm if they're exact (exept the railgun cuz I use that all the time): railgun= 2 hits, recoilless rifle= 1-2 hits (should be 1 but sometimes some random shit happens), expendeble anti tank= same as recoilless rifle, autocannon= 4-8 hits + 50% of shots bounce off and do no dmg and insead hit your team or shit..., don't got any date on the spear... btw if you got the autocannon sentry bring it if you expect Chargers as it helps you to wear it down conventionally (pegging it in the behind)

Spear is a one shot to tanks hulks and chargers (when the lockon wants to work that is) and 2-3 shots for a bile titan (less for hitting in the face)

I don't know if you have been told mr fruit but for the weapons with backpack ammo, if you pick up the backpack you can reload the weapon solo. Not as fast as 2 person but in some cases it's better to have the extra person shooting

For the autocannon, shooting the chargers in the back legs will take it down quicker than going for it's butt or head (game loves to do sneaky "weak spot" red herrings). Easiest way to do this is have the charger charge past you then dive and just aim towards it's back legs. You can have a buddy reload the the gun faster but honestly reloading it yourself is manageable. The speed is way more forgiving than reloading a heavy machine gun 😂 and it's also nice against lower armored enemies. Ammo isn't really an issue too honestly, so don't be worried about spamming for maximum killage.

breaking a charger's legs exposes a weak spot and is one of the easiest way to kill them, 2 shots from a railgun break the armor and then use your primary. But that said, weapons that do "explosive" dmg, do a lot of dmg on their butts (and on spewers bodies)

Mines are super useful! For closing off choke points, anbushing patrols and slowing down a horde you are running away from. They should not be used offensively especially when teammates are mixed in with the enemy.

Ooohh I see Rhabb's getting into EMS and mortars. Having them as a combo is GOATED. Highly recommend for defense missions where you're not all spread out too much. For the defense automaton missions esp is really nice because of the elevated maps. And if you get the EMS turret + mortar, enemies can barely touch you. I've brought this combo a bunch solo to suicide and impossible level automaton defense missions for xp farms and it's *chef's kiss*. If you have more than one of these it'll be even crazier. Also if you get caught in an EMS field... Just dive spam 😂

One thing to be aware of, the Autocannon does fire explosive rounds so shooting something too close will blow you away, possibly fatally so! That is what I think actually happened to you and Joey with the autocannon at 33:20ish!

I've tried the game for a bit and it's not for me. Best way to experience the game is with friends and if your friends aren't playing with you it's very very mid. The matchmaking and hoping for people to come help you while solo is very bad. Chances are you will just be soloing missions unless you go and help someone else then it's just a 2man group mostly. But super happy to watch Fruit play this game since he seems to really enjoy it and his friends are usually always online playing games haha.

I will admit I bring mines.... but I also make sure to throw them in a place where my allies KNOW they are and know to avoid (and where bugs or bots are coming from to use them faster then my allies step on them) plus I tend to wander off and do random shenanaginry anyways and clear up the mines afterwards.... so at least I try to not do friendly fire or danger close with my mines P.S. I only really use them on defense or evac anyways so yeah...... makes it a little better imo

When you have someone unable to grasp why you would absolutely never use mines on a civilian escort mission, then that person does it more than once, you have a person with one dimensional, one step thinking. A person incapable of sequential cause and effect thought processes is just as dangerous as the bots and therefore a critical threat to managed democracy.

as someone who exclusively plays on 9 now railgun and shield pack are your best friend. secondly the breaker is probably the best gun but the hidden gem is the sg8-s slugger that true chads use. Finally, difficulty doesnt increase damage done only amount spawned so dust off the COD zombies train skills
