I can understand Cajuns/Créoles, west Africans, and people from Western & Southern France fairly well; I usually can tell what Acadians and Parisians are talking about--- but put me in a conversation with a Québécois , Picard, or Belgian, and I'm lost. Recordings (like here on YT) are, of course, different. Obviously, IRL other people get frustrated when you have them repeat themselves 20 times at half speed.
