Hi, there, my dear friends, in this video I will show you an interesting idea how to make a strike-ball trip wire from the clothes peg and electric match.
This video demonstrates how to make an Electric match. If you planning a campfire or special effect, use this method.

I made a sump pump alarm using a cloths pin, you have one thumbtack with the flat surface on the inside and the other the point. you place an aspirin between the flat surface and the point. You then attach it to a piece of wood and lower it into you sump pump well above the water line. If the sump pump fails the water rises, dissolves the aspirin, the contacts touch and set off an alarm. Its saved me from a flooded basement more than once.

Sump pumps suck for that very reason. It fails and so does all your gear stored in your basement. Your alarm is a great idea if someone is near enough to hear it. Away at work..you're f*cked. No more basements for me

40 years ago, we used two clothes pins, a 9 volt battery, some hookup wire, fishing line, Estes model rocket igniters and blockbuster firecrackers to build perimeter alarms around the vegetable garden. It kept Moose and Deer from eating the plants and veggies. Jerk the fishing line, and instant BOOM. Even the boldest Moose was running full speed away. Harmless, but supremely loud.

+ MrMaestro14231it is a mixture of match heads and the red phosphorous from the boxes striker. When mixing them together in a one match head powdered and half that in red phosphorous with a tiny drop of water to make a paste. But in its powder form it is highly susceptible to shock forces and will explode/ignite. These are great for a rocket motor starter, fireworks, dynamite, or whatever needs fire to ignite its fuse or combustible material. Handle it carefully when a powder. If you strike it with a hammer it explodes.

You could definitely wire some sort of module that sends a signal (Audio, IR, Wi-fi, etc.)over shorting the circuit. You could do this with minimal modifications and additional modules. Great starting point. Edit - Basically look at this as nothing more than a switch. You make this switch work for anything.

A quick idea, maybe use a birthday card from the local pharmacy as the device/ alarm. The audio birthday cards can be recorded, and are triggered by a similar pull-tab mechanism. Instead of the bread bag tab or plastic peace you used, try the audio mechanism, and maybe use a recorded alarm sound instead of the flare. Just a suggestion.

This demo flare is just a "YT placeholder event". The switch can be used to trigger anything you want, but some things you may want don't get approved on YT in Joe Bidens America. Like, you may want to say "1776" at the Capitol. But that will get you 60 days in a Louisville pokey, especially if you aren't perceived as being remorseful about being a patriot (see Owen Shroyer, 10/24/23)

The idea isn't simply setting off the flammable material at the ends of the leads. You can connect something else to the leads to send an electrical signal to trigger another device once the trap goes off.
@johnelliott7123
@johnelliott7123 2 жыл бұрын
You're ALL missing the point! Once the wire is tripped and the contacts touch each other, the small fire causes heat, which is attached to a thermal resistor, which will then send a small electric current to a variable capacitor that has been connected in parallel to several smaller capacitors with different ohms, so the electric current can then choose which path has the least resistance and if you choose, you can put a day/night/thermal transmitter that is connected by bluetooth to your cell phone and can simultaneously dial your number as well as 911. Don't forget to connect the game camera set on either video or flash pictures for evidence. If your property is vandalized often, ensure you have at least 100 GB card and if your card can connect to satellite you can be sleeping anywhere and the signal can be sent not only to you, but to other agencies that might have concern that your tomato garden is under attack. This is how mine is set up. I love my tomatoes.

we used to make these using nine volt batteries and rocket igniters from the hobby stores. And, telling how long this was ago, we used flash bulbs to blind intruders. It was common when out in the boonies and setting up camp ( army) The army issued trip flares also which ran on the same principle. As a joke we would set this up on a friends car attached to a black smoke bomb and when he started his car ( the wires were attached to his spark plugs) the smoke bomb would go off and send great clouds of black smoke from under his hood. It was funny to watch him bail out and roll across the ground. Oh, those memories of years gone by!!

Replace the burning substance with either a 1.5 volt light 💡 or an audio buzzer or alarm 🚨. Or run a wire to a unit in your home that can be connected to a source that will alert you when the wire is tripped.

@@johnpetty7066 Or use a paper match and two insulated wires bridged with a strand of fine or medium-fine steel wool, with the ‘bridge-wire’ carefully bent in a U-shape across the match-head, and the insulated wires secured to the paper matchstick with tape. A 6 or 9 volt battery will quickly cause the steel wool to heat up and burn when the circuit is closed with the pulling of the tripwire-rigged insulator, or the pushing against a spring loaded plunger separating the two contacts, or the plunger is in a submersed device with an open hole sealed with a tightly stretched un-inflated balloon, so as the device sinks, the plunger is pushed inward by increasing hydrostatic pressure to ignite the device like a depth charge. Once I devised that first electric match as a kid, it was entertaining to consider all the different possible/creative ways that it could be triggered.

Or, you could take a couple tin cans with some rocks placed into the crevice of a tree with the line attached. When someone walks through the line, the cans fall together making a noise. Works the same with grenades with the line attached to the pin.
