Obviously the reason for the time to unlock is simply so everything isnt available day 1. Im not a fan of the whole thing.....all those mounts wont be valuable because they are all easy to get. I guess it will get me closer to my mount collecting achievement

@@cheesecrums1559 not everything involving the mounts will be easy to obtain, the Lattices require dropping from specific rares or just from mowing down a literal crap ton of mobs, there will always be lazy people who will buy what they can off the AH, so dont be thinking that there wont be some serious gold in this.

As a mount collector I love this system. The idea that the materials for them drop from that type of mob is really fun. The idea that you can go out and find them seems way better than just waiting an hour for a rare to spawn for a chance. There is a lot of variety and color so if you just want a few of them you can target them. For those that want them all it gives plenty to do without making us just sit and wait. Honestly, I hope this type of system is used in the future. Its cosmetic and 100% optional. And it gets us out in the world to explore.

Totally agree. Zereth Mortis will be the first Zone i WANT to complete snd explore. Just for this mount system. Cant wait til my chiffre system is fully develeped so i can start farming.

@@zapkidproductions Your point is ok, but a mount grind is not what creates a single player mindset, what does that is having random dungeon finder/raid finder, and snarfing in the world, mount grinds are good for the game overall and tbh they should be hard and time consuming it is a vanity item. But if you want the game to feel more social than they need to merge ALLOT of servers and stop with the cross server crap and close RDF

The lattice drops are annoying to be honest. I know farming is part of the game but 1500 casts to get the component to make the jelly fish lure has resulted in no one pulling it most days. ( you only get one lure once a week there after)

Isnt that every expansion in WoW also. Just every one standing in the city doing nothing. Been seeing that since Cata. Been playing WoW since TBC and the grind is just getting old. Let us have Dark Moon Faire 24/7, do some more stuff with the legendary fishing pole. The farm from MoP is something they should of kept and adding to it. Been leveling some alts and WoW right now just reminds me of warframe. So many good old systems that should be carried forward but just tossed to the way side for "grind". Give some fun stuff to do and more variety instead of just an hour of questing a day than nothing. Hell the pet battle system is just dead now to. The hardest challenges are still the celestial battles from MoP. The expansion pet battles were added.

Honestly as a pet and mount collector I prefer this to the hundreds of 1/100 mounts that have been added in the last 2 expansions because it will feel like you're actually progressing rather than just prayging to the mount gods that Famu will actually drop his mount today. But the research time sucks, I want to start working on them now!

The lattices do NOT drop regularly on live. I actually started watching this video hoping for some help on where to find them because they are so rare. (I'm up to my eyeballs in glimmers.) I've been double checking my kills against Wowhead to make sure I'm killing the right things. They just don't drop, and by now, I'm wondering if it's a bug... :(

Agreed! I probably have the worst luck, I've only gotten one lattice since the start of the patch, and I've been plugging away every day at this. I've got plenty of the other components, but never a lattice. Overall I like this system concept very much, but maybe bump that material drop just a smidge.

I wouldn't say it's replacing the drop mounts; it's more of an addition that others may find they like more or start complaining about it as they do many other things. I like it as it gives me more choices to decide if I want one or all.

You would think that after so many years, the Blizz devs would be able to come up with a better idea than "Grind 'n Farm" as the primary method of play, but even now on what is probably the most poorly received xpac since Warlords, they still manage to churn out the most undesirable form of gameplay and progression. This sounds like something I'll get bored with rapidly during the live patch, and maybe something I return to a year or two later when I'm bored and have done everything there is to do in the lifecycle of whatever patch is live at that time.

if you mean Hunter Pets then you can tame the wild prototype animals there, as for the Mounts and Battle Pets they are almost exclusively a part of the creation feature, save for the Enlightened rep mount.

Seems like a perfect Shadowlands system. Take something that already existed in a fantastic manner and make it difficult to use. Hopefully once it's unlocked it will be smooth sailing. Can you get the blueprints for the mounts before the synthesis opens or only after like the flesh?

they do, first there's the 226 Anima gear, then after that there is the 249 Sandworn Gear that you buy with Sandworn Relics that can be found on Rares and Chests, then there's even that gear that you can fuse with outdoor buffs. sadly though if we want Tier we have to participate in the Big 3 of content, aka M+/PVP/Raid, i am trying to get the Sandworn gear be a usable ingredient in Tier creation though.

I find the zone is the only decent thing in 9.2, I’m so over blizzards stupid obsession with pointlessly timegating content. All there is to do in this patch is dailies, rare farming, torghast and a few story quests each, you’re basically done with it all within a day. There is huge discrimination against non-flying mount players. Flying mount players grab treasure chests in inaccessible places and fly faster to collect quest items. Non-flying mount players cannot reach inaccessible high areas and run slow on the surface. Blizzard favors pro Raid players instead of helping weak and solo players to thrive. We did not get flying mounts, and it is too much grinding and quests complexity. Shadowlands was one of the worse WOW expansion games. I will not purchase Dragonflight because Shadowlands haunts me to be a failure for no flying mounts and it is so difficult getting a group for dungeon and raid. Blizzard sucks! 🖕😡🖕
