Did ppl even know Naxx was gonna be gone? That's a big component in FOMO. The Gates of AQ event, and every other pre-launch event since, these are actually fomo. It's always been the tradition of WoW to have time-limited events which were there to keep people playing continuously, but you only complain when that is done now. Why is that?

Actually, the Defias set is INSANELY easy year round. It's available via hidden Rogue quest in the Cata version of Deadmines, that just has you kill like fifty Defias.

Why can't blizzard ever get events right out of the gate? This event is so buggy and just bad. 4:33 One thing about the Dornogal weeklies, it seems they are bugged right now and 1-2 of the weekly quests are not available if you completed them the previous week and will not award a token if you do them on an alt that hasn't done them yet. Blizzard said they hotfixed it to to where even if you completed those quests on your main, you could do them on an alt to get the tokens as long as you didn't collect tokens from when you did them on your main, but that fix is either not implemented yet or does not work, I tested it this morning and did not get any tokens on my alt even though I hadn't collected any tokens on my main from the quest since the quest didn't reset on my main.

the achievement shouldnt even exist, all the sets should have been 20 from the getgo. All this does is elongate a persons experience by like a couple weeks... of a several month long event. It serves no actual purpose, its just an intentional choke point put in place by Blizzard.

FOMO is exactly what made me unsubscribe after playing one hour of the 20th event. With profession heavily manage by timed restriction, huge FOMO with events and monthly reward and overpriced mounts and pets, the game looks a lot like a free to play MMORPG. Everything has a daily, weekly or monthly cap.

So this isn’t a 20th anniversary celebration. It’s a new MAU fishing annual grind event with fomo mixed in. I suppose it shouldn’t be a surprise considering their appreciation for players was shown when they launched an expansion on the 20th anniversary and tied a greedy extortion fee to play on release or else get delayed access. Kinda ruins the 20 years of WoW hype before it began.

this patch was pushed out too early. The TWW weeklies rewards are buggy, the class reworks are buggy, the raid is overtuned. It feels bad playing such a buggy experience. The goodwill they earned from launch is dying fast. If you unsubbed for a month I doubt you would regret it
