When I was growing up, pre-cable TV - there were four channels. The big 3 networks and PBS. They all were reporting the news without inserting their opinions. When cable became a thing, and they had to compete with channels that didn't have the same limitations, so personal opinions by the "talking heads" became more normal. Today, I cannot think of one channel or network that isn't obvious in their bias. Liberal or Conservative. I am paying attention during the election in order to make an informed decision, but under normal circumstances, I've gotten to the point that I don't turn on my TV for days just to avoid all the noise and fist-shaking and hand-wringing. Can't wait for this to be over, and get back to something closer to normal. Trump 2024.
