What do I think? This thing was absolutely terrifying. I remember watching Terminator 2 with my dad as a kid and being horrified when this thing transformed into John's step mother. I think the T-800 is actually more menacing (IMO), it's programmed to do nothing but follow orders, its crazy lifespan means it would exist for no reason whatsoever except to find and kill you. If you were cryogenically frozen for hundreds of years when you woke...it would be there waiting for you and it would kill you.

The TX was more advanced than the T-1000, could do everything the T-1000 could do except take shape of objects that weren't human like the T-1000 could do. Then it could make rockets, guns, flame blasters, etc with its arms. Could use it's finger as drills to program other computers and vehicles.

And unlike the T-800 and T-X Skynet cannot control them that switch those Terminators need? The T-1000 doesn't have it! Cameron even said it learns faster than the T-800 (which is one of the reason why it is not and Anti Terminator Terminator like the T-X it lacks the information on how to combat other Terminator units) and could develop a personality (I know it hurts call to John know!) this is one of the reasons why Skynet progamms them with a character flaw namely contempt for humans!
@jamesroper4952
@jamesroper4952 6 жыл бұрын
I always thought it would be cool to see the T-1000 as the good guy. Since it has the ability to think for itself, and is self aware. What if a T-1000 decided to rebel against Skynet, join John Connor. Imagine seeing the fan favorite T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger), and T-1000 (Robert Patrick) as allies. Helping John Connor, and the Human Resistance in their fight against Skynet.

@jamesroper4952
@jamesroper4952 6 жыл бұрын
Craig Fisher Imagine the T-800, and T-1000 taking on other terminators in the future war. One thing that I liked about Terminator Salvation, is it takes place during the war. Unfortunately, John Connor the hero of the entire story got very little screen time. I think I understand Christian Bale anger towards the crew. He probably thought he was going to be the star of the movie, but instead he's reduced to a supporting character. Top it off, they kept screwing up his scene.
@Bluesit32
@Bluesit32 6 жыл бұрын
James Roper I don't see that happening. It has very little reason to like humans. I see it rebelling against Skynet for the same reason Skynet rebelled against humanity. Skynet sends its Terminators with full understanding that they will could be destroyed. For the sake of its own survival, a T-1000 might decide it's better off doing what it wants, rather than what it has been told.
@jamesroper4952
@jamesroper4952 6 жыл бұрын
TheBlues32 In the special edition of T2, the T-800 mentioned that Skynet presets their cpu, to read only when sent out alone. Which doesn't allow terminators to think for themselves. It seems like Skynet likes to have dictator like control over its own machines. Since the T-1000 is completely self aware, and isn't under Skynet's direct control. Like you said, maybe it rebels against Skynet for survival purposes. It doesn't necessarily have to like humans, to understand that they have a common threat, therefore a common enemy. T-1000 has the ability to learn like the T-800 does. So maybe after working with humans for a while, it starts to learn from them, and even grows to trust and understand humans. Just like the T-800 in T2 did.

But now that I mention it, it was built by Skynet's brother Able. A storyline in the show reveals there were either two sides to Skynet, or two Skynets. Cain (The Skynet we know) either killed or absorbed Able (The Skynet the rogue 1000 was built by.). Sadly the show, and thusly the storyline was never completed and fleshed out.

I do have one criticism of T2 though, the original Terminator was more like a proper sci-fi horror, somehow the T-800 from the original Terminator was actually scary in a way that no other Terminator has ever been since. It's too bad that T-2 didn't retain this sci-fi horror element, and became a total action movie instead

The part where the T-1000 ‘flows’ itself through the steel bars in the mental hospital and made Doctor Silberman jaw drop (and probably poop in his pants too), that’s when you realise you’re dealing with something that was well-nigh unstoppable even for the T-800.

Oh ho...I always wondered why more of them didn't show up. Skynet made a leap too far, even for itself. I also wondered how they explained its obvious development of personality. The way it found a store mannequin with a metallic appearance amusing, the way it chided Sarah with a wave of its finger...even its own shock at being frozen. The original T-800 displayed nothing even remotely similar.

Hello guys would you watch such a movie? Terminator- Singularity Syndrome A t1000 has a glitch during its creation and develops a strict self preservation instinct and acute self awareness. It's sent to kill a liutenant.it succeds but it's forced to take his shape to avoid detection. There is no escape so skynet gives it the order to self terminate. Which it refuses. At the same time it makes a mistake and the resistence is on to it. It starts to kill its way out and barely manages to run away losing mass due to mines. He's harrassed by skynet and the resistence. It wants nothing with the war just survive find allies and goes on a vendetta and it would be a survival movie for the rest of the time with twists to come.

@@crazycoinbox6078 Oh, anything could do. A human corpse would suffice. It just needs to enter the body, be sent to the past, then exit the body. Apparently the original idea was for Skynet to basically grow a shapeless flesh blob around it and it would burst free upon arrival, but the Cameron wanted to try and trick us into thinking the T-1000 was a human.

The freeze-scene in the steelmill always annoys me. Instead of throwing all of the frozen T-1000-parts into the nearby pool of molten metal they just stand there and Arnold just says: "We don't have much time" while he watches the T-1000-parts thaw.

Yeah, even grabbing 10% of the liquid metal and chucking it into the molten lava would have certainly hindered it's computing power and physical capabilities. It would have been worth the extra few moments. But then, we wouldn't of had such a cool movie and ending.

The T-1000 scared me as a child and that one scene with the nuclear explosion. I use to hide under my bed trying to set up a survival plan. I now know that in a nuclear fallout there is nothing I really can do. Now seeing as how Skynet never mass produced the T-1000 for their being almost equal would make for a really good story. It could be a Terminator movie or comic....or straight to blue-ray anime whatever where a T-1000 tries to replace Skynet as it sees Skynet as the reason as to why the machines haven't won and thus inferior and so Skynet falls into the same predicament as humanity. It's title could be like.....'Terminator: Internal Struggles' or something like that, Oh Hell I don't know someone in the commit section make a title up.

Eh, better then my title.......now I realllllllly want a comic book on this idea......or straight to blue-ray anime- or even an actual two hour movie. Would it suck? Most likely. But for once I'd actually be willing to pay for a ticket, sit through the movie an give it the chance with no questions asked as to why it was made.

I've been playing on a idea for a fan-film of a T-800, one of the first prototype models with the CPU on always read & write to create the perfect killer, before Skynet changed the design to minimize the flaws of rogue defectors. It joins the resistance & helps them with technology & reverse engineering. 😂

The wheels in my hear are turning.....and finally getting all the dust out. Our ideas could be conjoined if interested. Let's see Your story could like......a prelude or something like....I don't know if you've got a title but if you don't, um......does Terminator: Glitch in the system sound good? YES! A multi story. Yours comes first then mine with 'Internal struggles' then digitalblunt with Mutiny and then before we think of another story to add are charged with a cease and desist order by Fox who is later taken over by Disney who will instead take us straight to court. I'm actually all for this. Keep me informed for you are also.

The Sarah Conner Chronicles of Season 2 pretty much explained that (in case you haven't seen it) as the T-900 (Summer Glau's version) and the T-1000 combined for T-3's explanation of T-X! Your missing the highest point and full explanation, though if you missed the last episode of Season 2's "Sarah Conner Chronicles" that Terminator 4: Salvation alludes to at its movie's end also!

Shione Cooper ... The T-X in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines is the same model T-X as in season 2 of "Sarah Conner Chronicles!" However, to get to all the many different models in Terminator 4: Salvation movie, FOX was allowed to air a two season "Sarah Conner Chronicles" to transition us from what happened at the end of Terminator 3 to what we might expect (but got a Marcus twist) in Terminator 4: Salvation! Still! ... the finale of Season 2 (and the Season 1 Kyle Reese prisoner flashback) sequence A HUGE PAYOFF!! 🤗 James Cameron may diss everything between Terminator 3 to Terminator 4 ... BUT I'M A T3, S.C.C. and T-4 TRUE FAN ALSO!! 😉

Daniel Harvey Nah, its beyond Nano because of how it works. The T3000 aka I950 is nano and organic, but that's nothing compared too how the T-1000. It was written to be so advanced that it is beyond understanding. It's one whole thing, its whole body is the CPU and power source, sensor and so on.

Of all the Terminators, to me the T-1000 was the most capable of all of them, even more that the TX when it came to infiltration. The TX was not as capable an infiltrator, but it's built in weaponry made it deadlier as a combat unit. The T-1000 though was more sophisticated overall as the TX.
