The T-700 being more of a prototype to the T-800 than a direct replacement to the T-600, it makes sense that much of the exposed weaknesses are a result of the chassis and the head being developed separately and later mated into the same unit to produce a combat ready model.

@@RobertK1993 but has resources. In the comics and early Terminator media, much like the Nazi Germany and their Tiger tanks, the T-800, despite of being feared, were pretty rare. The most of the hunter-killers were actually composed by the other non-humanoid robots and a quite decent number of T-600. The T-800, by being expensive in therms of resources, were used only on the most important strategic points. No talking about T-1000 series, which actually were made just a handful of "advanced prototypes" and never were capable of being mass produced. Starting up from T3 onwards a lot of those things changed and, in a quite absurd way, Skynet even had the resources to make a "terminatrix" and the T-800, which before were made on the latest point of the war, now resulted they were made in the midpoint actually. Ugh… man, I will agree with the rest of the nostal fags and say that every started to become wrong and loosing of common sense after T2.

I would wager that the production for Terminators is different in every universe. In some universes the production is 100% going T-1 through every number too T-Infinity, while in other universes they have two production lines going at the same time. The reason T-700s and T-800s would look nearly identical is because they were both created, envisioned, at the same time. All the Odd Hundred numbered T series Machines could be meant only for straight up combat while all even hundred T series are the infiltrators. It could also be why some of the T-800s models are not infiltrators, because the lines are so similar, if Skynet needed more of a specific type of front line combat T series it could have the T--800s use the newer T-700s designs to to make heavy combat T-800s. Theirs at least 5 different T-800s that are meant for heavy combat and possibly can not infiltrate at all. So just to clarify when the T-100s where out, so too where the T-200s as they are using the same Machines but with different minor components, the 100s are for straight up combat and the 200s are infiltrators, same with T-300s and T-400s having the same body but with different minor components, T-300s are fighters, T-400s infiltrate, and the same thing applies to T-500s and T-600s.

The Terminator Dawn Of Fate video game was very faithful to the appearance of Skynet hardware from T1 but it had the various types of Endoskeleton (referred to as Endos in the game) and as far as I remember they went up in lots of 200 so T200, T400, T600 and T800 with the earlier models being very crude. It also had the Skynet Guardians, four 4 legged robots like oversized dogs rather than the small HK Tanks shown in T3.

actually, it's likely that the early t-700 would use an older model processor like that of the t-600 instead of the neural net processor of the t-800 with the exception of an infiltrator and special units that require being set to read and write. however, i would say that the pin switch was later added to the neural net processor in order for it to be used by the t-700 to take advantage of the increased power of newer processor do to the resistance becoming better organized. given that the t-800 version 2.4 has atleast 43894 different scan modes i would say the t-800's processor is much better than the older models( i only knew this because I watching terminator 2 well commenting on a different video and i was happened to watch the bar seen ). also, it's not blaspheming to say that the t-700 is reminiscent of the Genesis models as the Genesis models are likely eather created using old t-800 endo practical props or scans of the props.

The T-700 will always be a silhouette in the Terminator franchise in the sense that it will always remain ambiguous due to it being overshadowed by the T-800. Its conception seemingly exists only to provide a steppingstone between the T-600 and the T-700. The main stream cannon surrounding it such as Terminator Salvation doesn’t help due to it literally never being mentioned by discourse; only being shown under construction and referenced incorrectly, leading to more confusion. Furthermore the placement of the T-700 in Terminator Salvation was pointless, the story was centered on the T-800, not the T-700. I would like there to be an official source either from Skydance or another brand that has rights to terminator to give us full detail. Until then the T-700 is nothing but a footnote in the Terminator franchise.

There's an inconsistency in the Kyle Reese theory. At 1:04 you say Kyle was expecting the Terminator to be incapacitated for a lot longer. At 2:24 you say the T700 can't think by itself, it needs Skynet, but then, that means that the T700 wouldn't be able to work in the past, since Skynet didn't exist. The only solution to this, is that Kyle Reese was not aware of the T700 capabilities, maybe he didn't know that the T700 needs commands from a superior computer?

if you were to capture a terminator (theoretically) like one of the arnold ones or the t-1000 in a room where it could not break out no matter what could you have a conversation with it or would it just shutdown could you convince it to abandon its mission if it had its chip switched to its higher function where its able to learn

The T800 was ALWAYS the description of the combat Terminator units seen in T2 and so on imo and the T800 101 Model reffered to the infiltrator unit

The terminator which infiltrates the hide out with the plasma gatling gun, where kyle Reese entered ealier in T1, could be a 700er because looked a lot bulkier than Arnold in the movie. The 600 where bukier, also.

Probably a dumb question, but based on the information given in this video, is the T-700 the model that's mostly used as "standard infantry" by Skynet, or is it another Terminator model?

So would Franco Columbu's terminator be a T-700? Did the T-700 infiltrator have the skin covering like the T-800?
@MrSec845 жыл бұрын
He could be a variation of the T-800, like a T-102, Arnie is the T-101. The way that scene is shot Franco looks similar in height and frame to Arnie, so the 101 or whatever could be Skynet's way of distinguishing Skin cover appearance.
@kozlovracing27725 жыл бұрын
@@MrSec84 That could be, but what i mean is they say that Arnold was the T-800 prototype and they sent him back in time right away and then Kyle went through shortly after. So in Kyle's dream sequence he recalls the battle with the Franco terminator and that happened before he was sent back. So with Arnold being the prototype and Franco happened prior to them going back in time how could Franco be a T-800 if that happened before they made the prototype??
@BulletTooth5045 жыл бұрын
@@kozlovracing2772 It was never said in The Terminator that it was a prototype. Reese even said "These are new". These being plural, it suggests that there had encounters with other units of the series. Maybe you're getting it mixed up with T2 Arnie referring to the T-100 as a prototype?

It would have been cool if they did go more in depth on other models. He was a T-800,though I don't know which model as the 101 models look like Arnold.

It's an amazing experience watching this movie! Coming from an ardent terminator fan since the first 1984's inception! The story and direction is very focused and not dragged. Felt really sad at some of the emotional moments in the film and it has an uncanny resemblance to T2. There are about 4 awesome moments of exceptional terminator fight! Watch it for the nostalgic experience with all the sprinkles of the original T2 baseline story!
