Today we’re going to dive into the topic of deep learning. I want to share with you a method where a lot of time will be saved, whenever you are optimising and trying to find the proper settings of DRB

We have it on Sola 1.5 and Vida 3T. It's a great feature for bone and muscle imaging. Ultra quick and clear images. You do need to be careful with image artifacts because I found them to be more sensitive. We haven't yet found the right settings for brain image but it will come. Sometimes even with 150% oversampling we still notice some ghosting so we really have to look and examine our scans !

Yes correct. With correct settings it’s awesome as you say.

The ghosting artifacts are from the higher than 2 acceleration that you normally have without DRB. So try putting grappa on 3 instead of 4 and reduce the average if you want lower acquisition time.

Another great video Bac! To my eye the bottom right looks the best . Does it also smooth out pathology ? If it's put on high?

For the past 6months since we got it. I did a lot of comparison. Haven’t notice any lost pathology. I’m still working on it in terms of optimising. Will keep you all updated. Thanks.

Is it possible to turn off DRB in post-processing after you used it on a sequence? Is the same principal possible for sharp?

I am curious about any advanced techniques or protocols that are utilized to enhance image resolution, reduce artifacts, and improve overall diagnostic accuracy in MRI imaging. If possible, could you kindly provide insights, resources, or recommend any educational materials that comprehensively cover these topics? Additionally, I would greatly appreciate any practical tips or guidelines for adjusting MRI parameters effectively to optimize image quality for different clinical scenarios. Thank you very much for considering my request. Your expertise and guidance in this matter would be invaluable in furthering my understanding of MRI imaging techniques.

Is setting DRB to high more suitable for a very noisy image? On the other hand, if the noise level in the original image is not too severe, a medium setting would be more appropriate?
@Nguyen_MRI
@Nguyen_MRI Жыл бұрын
Good question. It all comes down to your preference. Some rads like it more smooth and some a little noisy on the images. However, the good thing is that you have choices here to give either way. But yeah more noise can be eliminated with high DRB. Of course to a certain degree.

if you have it avaiable then it should be at the same place as i show in the movie. if you dont have it, you dont see it. a package which needs to be purchased

It depends on what you going to scan. Budget etc. I’m only familiar with siemens. So wouldn’t be correct asking me for advice if haven’t decide siemens in beforehand. I would look upon all the vendors and see the pros and cons.

So I noticed you're only using 1 average in your image acquisition, but 200% phase oversampling. Since you're oversampling is well outside the anatomy, is there a reason you'd use 200% and 1 average instead of only 100% oversampling and 2 averages? You'd still be oversampling enough to cover and wrap, but you'd gain an extra average which could help with some degree of incidental motion, all with the same SNR value, right?
@Nguyen_MRI
@Nguyen_MRI Жыл бұрын
Very correct what you say. I would have do the same as you say if I could. With DRB you get “sense” artifact if you have small fov and not over sample very much. Going lower with the phase oversampling you get artifact inside your image (ghosting look a like) even though you phase sample way over. This comes for small fov of course.
@iansze2652

That's correct. We use DRB for prostates and shoulders, and we usually use an average of 1 with a phase oversampled of at least 175%, due to the smaller FOVs (
