No revitalising lounge at Vegas on landing? Definitely a much appreciated feature on the return leg at LHR - being able to grab a shower and a cooked breakfast after landing before making your way is a real treat. But since when did is cost £16k for Upper Class flights to Vegas?!

You are correct. Virgin used to operate a Boeing 747 exclusive fleet, and upper class was upstairs. It is however business class not 1st, not by a long shot.

When I moved to Indonesia, I flew China air and was upgraded to business class. There was an outdoor area at lax that I smoked my last bowl of ganja before I left, after tsa inspection mind you, and it was a great experience. They even let me use the first class showers. All for the price of economy class and because I was willing to take a seat next to an emergency exit.

Maybe it has changed, but Virgin definitely used to look after you Post-flight as well. You could use their lounge and also had a limo take you to your final destination....maybe it has changed? It was that obvious though, just a little desk in the corner of arrivals.

Someone waited until too last minute to book that ticket 😂 I’m writing this from Virgin’s NEW Upper Class on an A350, and they’ve made leaps and bounds in terms of comfort and space improvement. No more “sardine can” configuration! So, next time you pick a flight, make sure it’s the new config If you can!

Flew business class with Cathay Pacific from JFK to Hong kong, it looked better than that and was less than a quarter of the price. Emirates business is also way better

It's not a First Class product. It's a Business Class product. Suggest you try out Qatar QSuites (if you haven't already). I've paid cheaper Sydney to London business class

I used to fly planes for Emirates, which is why that looks a joke to me. It’s premium economy bordering on business really. Pie and Mash in First? Really? Slanty little wedged in seats with your feet in the aisle? Flat beds, personal cabin, 7 or 8 items on the menu whenever you want to eat, NOT when it suits the crew to ‘do a service’. This looks poor for the cash. £3k maybe, not £16k.

Great to watch, but it's Virgin Upper Class though, not actual First Class. Lovely and all, but £16k tickets must have been the last seats on the plane as its normally cheaper than BA Business Class??? You can buy an economy ticket and upgrade for 30,000 Virgin miles if you plan it even.

Personally I don't feel that the price difference between business and first is worth it... ok the food and service is marginally better, but fundamentally every airline I've experienced they just justify the price gap with added faf. For what 50-100% extra roughly, usually?

upper class isn't first class, its pretty much the same as BA/emirates business. First class is another level.
