The ultimate car detailing garage build episode takes place over 1... very long year. The goal was to build a safe place where I can detail, film, and educate those who want to learn more about car detailing, car restoration, and car paint polishing. This video encompasses 8 years of car cleaning savings, 2 plus years of searching for the "right" space, many months of negotiating, and then 1 year of actual construction. It's been quite a journey. I will have more "behind the scenes" videos on my secondary channel: AMMO NYC STUDIO where I give a walking tour of the building. Sincere thank you to everyone who helped make my dream possible. Hope you enjoy! -Larry

Imagine the amount of footage, digestion of timeline and execution, editing...putting 12 months of construction into a 46 minute chronological narration that's easily understood by viewers...loaded with detail, sufficiently yet effortlessly explain all the obstacles...This journey deserves the admiration.

I wanted to point something out that made me appreciate this video. Yes, the design and build of this dream shop is Amazing! What stood out the most was that owner of the shop knew the names of every worker. From the man installing the compressor shed to the man finishing his wood floors. That is a mark of a great man. Respect.

As someone who works in construction this means a lot. There are not many people that know the names of all the people working on their site but those that do will see a lot more dedication from the workers.

It definitely makes a difference! I’ve been working in carpentry since I was 17 & I’m 25 now. The jobs where the owners are on site, interact with the people doing the work and actually go as far as remembering names goes soo much better it makes you feel appreciated and you actually want to do the work.

First off 8 years of saving... I'm not in AMMO's pockets but I know he does well with his business and to save for 8 years. You know this place is going to be outfitted with everything. Saving for that long means a lot of planning and thinking things out for the build. Well done sir, we are not worthy.

Couldn’t have been kinder and more patient to a clueless 22 year old. Thank you for the time Larry! We get compliments on how nice our old 1999 Nautique looks everywhere we go!

Looking at all this, at first I was envious...then I realized, you have a business, and you work hard... Then I looked at my office at home. It is my dream office, with a dark red wall pain, slanted portions of the ceiling, similar staining on the hardwood, my custom desk made from a bedframe (to show me, breaking the shackles of best rest ordered by doctors), my books, my model cars and airplanes, and all the little things that give it is final touches. I aint gonna lie...Im a bit misty eyed and grateful that I am able to have such a room. I still kept this old couch, to show where I started...and one day I will build my dream garage too, where I can fit my car and bus collection (I grew up very poor, so everything was a struggle to gather, restore, fix, maintain...) So, if anyone else reads this, know that it can happen, even without luck...even without health (Im broken in many ways physically) but having the tenacity of a pitbull with a toy rope...just dont let go, and hold the line when needed, and push hard when you have your opening for advancement.

I really appreciate the way you remember the names of the people working for you, it makes you a even greater man in my book, respect! This is also easily the most ridiculous shop build I have ever seen; the attention to detail is outrageous, so it's nothing out of the ordinary for Larry and his group of people. Been following for quite a few years now, very happy for you and congratulations on the new shop; I'm sure Spencer would've been so excited and happy for you, may he rest in peace.

I am so happy for Larry! This studio is amazing and I can justify the cost of everything. It's worth every dime. And, the craftsmanship is tremendous.

Well Larry i'll admit to a tear or few watching your tribute to Spencer. He was a good friend. Many great memories with on and off the track. I bought my very first 951 track car from Speed Sport in Norwalk. A very special guy. Dedicated, passionate, talented. He shared his enthusiasm and support with everyone. Congratulations on the new building. See you at Caffeine and Carburetors again in '22. Bushman

Seeing the love the Hungarian blacksmith dude put into building that was refreshing. Seeing it be torn down and rebuild into another guys dream was also very satisfying. Thank you.
