I straight up have been doing this fight all day and this video came out while taking a sanity break, this was my saving grace and key to getting that stupid S rank. Thank you Kap!

The only thing that you could improve here is to keep using more EX shots in phase 1. When using Coffee or Divine Relic, you get your super meter quite fast, so don't be shy with those EX shots in phase 1. What happened most of the time for me was I would use 2 EXs to shoot the bottom part, then 1 or 2 EXs for the middle (to make sure I wouldn't end up with a full super meter). Then, once the heart appeared, I'd do 2 EX shots, which would leave me with about 2.5 cards and once phase 2 began, I would end up with a full super meter anyway.

I got a secret to make the first phase easier. My secret is when the fight starts and you use plane peashooter to shoot the antenna, I’d just get up closely carefully and just shoot the antenna but at the same time whetstone it for 5-7 times which makes it a lot faster but if the pink laser thing is coming out I’d just get out of the way and just spam plane peashooter until the antenna is destroyed

If you use the Whetstone on the antenna at the beginning you can destroy it before he gets to shoot anything.

I remember trying Dr. Kahl’s robot on Expert… and from that first attempt I decided I wouldn’t ever try to S Rank him. Maybe next time I’ll try with this new info in mind. Thanks!

I used this to beat him regularly going through the game instead of S ranking, I was having a rough time and the other tutorials on youtube weren't as detailed as yours. I promise you, I suck so bad at bullet hells, but thanks to this vid I finished the level with an A rank and can finally play the rest of the game. Thanks :)

So I originally started out Expert Mode by getting S-Ranks on all of the bosses back to back. I got to Wally Warbles before I said: “screw it… I’m just gonna try to beat every boss on expert instead of getting the S-Ranks.” I got the S-Rank for Dr. Kahl’s Robot without even attempting to, I was just trying to beat him

This doesn't work for me !😡 I go straight to the laser but it shots of almost immediately and screws up everything , so yeah this did not help 🤔

You're not playing on Expert Mode. This doesn't work on Regular, as he attacks in a different pattern on Regular than Expert.

Okay I just wanna say this I respect opions but this is the easiest flying boss s rank I did it second attempt and all the others are flying bosses are just like 10x harder than this so I honestly get annoyed when I hear, “ dr kahl is the hardest boss! “ but I did take your advice and besides your a really good cuphead player So yeah great work! And here have a sub!

For an S Rank, I genuinely believe this boss is not easy, otherwise, yeah he's really not bad to fight. Without charm crutches you absolutely have to play well to get past with ease. The first and second phase are only easy once you know what to do, so that does have to be taken into account imo. I only think he's easy now because I went through trial and error to discover what the easiest route was, and the last phase is still completely up to the player, so that's why I say it's objectively not easy because it isn't. For example, I think Ribby and Croaks are extremely easy, yet I still get multiple comments every week saying they struggle with him or that I'm wrong. We all have our strengths and weaknesses, and I would like to try helping as much as I can; it's why I make these guides 😁. I appreciate the comment!

So whenever I do the first part of the strategy it doesn't work because he uses his laser too fast

The strategy only works if you're playing on EXPERT mode, as his moveset changes, along with many other bosses, depending on the difficulty. You can't do the first strategy at the beginning on Regular because he will ALWAYS shoot his laser first REALLY fast, so you'd have to dodge it first before focusing fire on it until it's destroyed.

I like to use the divine relic to whetstone the shit out of the laser. It always gets it done fast mixed with the bombs. Dr. Khal has honestly become one of the easiest S-ranks since, especially compared to the other plane bosses, he just follows a pattern with little rng.

Its impossible to do this, as you cannot destroy his antenna, he starts shooting immesiately

You're not on Expert mode. I can tell because he always shoots his laser first on Regular, which is NOT the mode I'm taking about in the video. That's how much the modes matter in terms of the strategies you use.

Honestly, I'll try my best to make a guide, but Wally is still extremely difficult for me, however I can think of things to talk about during the boss fight that could help people with him. I'll try to make Wally my next guide!

Ok haven't S rank Dr. Kahl because I HATE HIM but one thing you forgot to mention is use bombs in the last phase when you are above him that helps to

I mean compared to Wally warblers Cala Maria and Hilda burg his kinda ez you just get that motion in because his first phase is basically scripted and the two hand attacks are not that hard when you destroy the bombs his second phase is well uh the shortest phase within all of cuphead even without super it’s not that bad and his last phase with the super than 4-5 whetstone and the 3 extra hp with heart ring it’s just not hard

I believe it shoots a lot earlier on Expert Mode, that's why I recommend getting rid of it ASAP.

For Dr. Kahl? No, I disagree. The last phase is quite literally the ONLY things that makes this tough to S Rank, and you can definitely learn to not take 1 hit during the last phase. Divine Relic makes this MUCH easier, which is why I recommend it so you don't HAVE to deal with trial and error.
