uppity is southern for stuck up or high and mighty lol yes most people speak american, tho we havent made it an official language yet, its broken english with lots of profanity lol they say using lots of profanity is a sign of low int. but we can make one word mean 1000 things depending on how we say it, to who we say it to, how loud or soft, and what not. also ask anyone from the uk if we speak english here and they will laugh at you, we butchered their language... its like how most look down on immigrants who cant speak our version of english... in a world were we are told we have free speech i hear this stance allot, why have the words if we cant use them? words not used is a step backwards in civilization as we are only civilized so long as we have speech, without it we are nothing but cavemen grunting at the wall haha
