Unfortunately, a big reason react channnles have been doing live versions more often is because they won't/are far less likely to get a DMCA and have to deal with copyright shit. Now... having memberships, Patreon, and accepting donations is supposed to circumvent that, so they can put the videos up without monetizing them when copyright would be an issue, but a combination of greed and incompetence will usually just lead them to trying to milk every last cent out of other people's content as they react to it. The other major issue... they get recommended the live version and just take the recommendation directly, cause that's what the person/people payed for when they suggested it. So people need to stop suggesting live versions too. Plenty of these types of react channels do lie about it being their first time hearing/seeing something, but for the most part, it really is a new thing to them so they wouldn't strictly know better. Like Rammstein, most of their live videos that people recommend are 1000% worth watching, cause their insane top-tier live performances are a huge part of their identity. So it would require spoiling yourself to do the research into whether a live version is worth it or not, as a react channel.

I disagree. I prefer live versions for the most part. Very rarely would I rather see a music video. I prefer to enjoy an artist’s talent live, nothing beats it.

2000 I went to Glastonbury festival to go and watch NIN and David Bowie. Only acts on that I really cared about, and they didn't disappoint. But the stand out performance for me was from a band I had only ever heard of through this song. Originally I wasn't going to bother going to check them out, but was meeting up with a girl who wasn't camping with the rest of us and she wanted to see them. Bloodhound Gang were great fun live and I became a fan at that point... but I agree that checking out the music video would have been a better experience, lol

As other mentioned: You must watch the video to fully appreciate their humor. Another video I recommend is "Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo". As you can imagine, the whole song is full of metaphors for the one activity spelled out in the title.
