Thank you very much for taking the time to make this video, it helped me a lot. It really is complicated but it is because at Volvo they do things well thinking about people's safety and so that the car lasts forever. Greetings from Quito Ecuador

Thanks so much for your time and doing this video. I'm getting ready to pull my Volvo seats and take the bases off to hem the torn hem that is usually a problem with these older Volvo's . Thanks for walking me through the hog ring process. Much appreciated.

Plastic ties (aka cable ties, zip ties) get brittle with age, heat and wear. I suggest using those only for the places that are easy to reach when the seat is in the vehicle (so they will be accessible when you have to replace them) or dont use them at all. They may last forever, hog rings definitely will.

@@Bigtime_mcalpine I'm in the process of doing mine. Your video is a big help. Gonna try zip ties to put it back together though, Those Hog rings look like a lot of work!!

I know this is an old reply but, do all Volvo seats from this era have the side airbags?

Probably the snow storm in the video that reminded him of wanting heated seats..

Hi where to buy this thing?

Just go to the wreckyard and pull a seat out. Then just take the bottom half. The seats are easy to take out of car.
