That’s easier but you still need to take seat out to get this done.

How did you wire the electric start?
@VitaleGemeindeАй бұрын
Thank you for your advice. Today I did it on my Volvo V70 II from 2000 and I found a way without lowering the suspension because there is enough space next to the bushing. I made the tools by myself out from two tubes and welded Rondelles on it. You need only one screw. To press out the axle bushing, an outer sleeve is required that supports itself on the outside of the axle housing and can accommodate the bushing. Inside the small hole, a press-out sleeve is used, which has the same diameter as the bushing. To press in the new bushing from the outside, the sleeve that was previously used on the inside is needed to apply pressure. Additionally, a narrower receiving sleeve is required, which is inserted into the small hole, as the bushing protrudes about 5 mm inward.

Thanks for the great video! I don't mind where you didn't cut the footage - it helps me get my head in the right place for doing this job. Some notes for later years - I think the compressor bracket alignment jig is not needed 2011 and later - they put bushings/pins in the holes to allow the bracket to self-align. Also, the coupling between the water pump and the PS pump went away in the XC60 (they went to a different ps pump - electric I think), but the XC90's kept the pump and the coupling all the way to the end. I think I have the best of both on my 2012 XC60 - no PS/WP coupling, and alignment jig not needed. I'll tell you for sure tomorrow after I tackle it!
@Bigtime_mcalpineАй бұрын
@@rogerh2272 good luck. I have to agree. You have the best config! That jig is a PITA. Be careful not to lose the washer under the AC bracket!

2008 s60 2.5T. I had circuit F malfunction. Replaced throttle body. No more circuit F malfunction. But now have generic p1194. No it isn't fuel trim, they are good. I have 15% throttle at idle, and only 85% wot letting me think it may need calibrating. I tried waiting for the self test but it didnt change anything. As if out of bound, too far from calibration Can this be done with a snap on solus (or other high end scanner) or does it really need the VIDA?

@@ericaviator8869 believe it or not the first symptom was not being able to put the intake pipe back on properly. I ended up having to go to the dealership for help and that’s when they indicated that it was because the mount had failed.

Super helpful. Question: If you were just replacing the high pressure hose, and nothing else, would you still have to lower the subframe in the back? Or would you just lower the front of the subframe, release the tops of the engine mounts, and jack the engine up to make room? I need to replace my hose (sprung a leak), but I don't need to replace anything else, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the old hose out, let alone the new one in. Thanks!
@Bigtime_mcalpine2 ай бұрын
@@ProVisionColor well, I can’t say it’s impossible without dropping sub-frame but I’m pretty sure it is. I think you probably don’t need to disconnect the steering u-joint, just drop the frame and suspend the rack as you replace the line.
@ProVisionColor2 ай бұрын
@@Bigtime_mcalpine Thanks a ton for replying. Suspend the rack? Does that mean disconnect the rack from the subframe and then keep it suspended from the vehicle so it doesn’t get pulled down when the frame gets lowered? Seriously appreciate the help man.

Could be. You should be able to visually inspect it once you pull out. It’s like a mushroom and if the top has crushed the bottom (say the stem of mushroom) it’s time for a new one. Can’t remember the space on the replacement but there was a healthy gap there.

@@user-nw7kf6nl2y assuming the key hardware is compatible, yes, as long as you can dig out the little transponder capsule. You must transfer the glass transponder over for the remote to work. Or if you can’t get the transponder out, at least tape it to the steering column as close as possible to the key lock and remove the non-compatible transponder so that car doesn’t get confused.
