Another big tip: if you have two smokes, don’t play viper like a smoker on the attack side. Her walls can be used to slowly lurk up areas and create pressure, stopping rotates. This can be MUCH more helpful than having the enemy chokes blocked off

I 100% agree, Viper thrives on maps like Bind, Lotus etc because of her visions denial and sentinel-like abilities. nAts has the best content for that playstyle. To be fair I don't think MrLowlander is the ideal person to learn from, he's more of a "tips and tricks" person than a ranked person.

Great video, i love seeing some Viper love!!! Some things though; so as a viper main i disagree with 3 things in this video: 1:27 Splitting the site is fine, but on MOST cases its not as good as getting control on entrances to site and holding all of site; splitting it may LOOK solid, but it makes site retake EASIER for defending players. Viper's walls that divide the bomb also make good entry points for your enemies if they have flashes or stuns. Some maps require that you wall the site in half, such as Breeze A and B (too big to control all entrances with smoke and walls+clean all corners, or Sunset B, which has no good wall to cover booth mid and spawn) but on most maps its better NOT to split the site in half, but rather smoke entrances to site (for example walling Ascent A Garden, and then Orbying heaven at same time, rather than splitting A site in half). In 3:47 he says one ways with viper are kinda hard to use and pick up the Orb after? This makes very little sense, most one-way smokes are reasonably easy to learn, you can do them from spawn wich gives you a lot of time to set up, and very easy to pick up later on (given you dont have someone shooting you from that angle, although if you have someone shooting you, why not use the one way? Especially the one he shows in this mark on his video, its veeeery easy to pick up??? just jump and press F?) Some notes 8:42 you orb takes 1.5 secs to deploy, and your snakebites take on AVERAGE 5-6 seconds to hit (if you throw them at high angles without hitting a wall or ceiling) so you should use your orb after 4-4.5 secs when you throw your snakebite; some snakebites take longer or shorter, so if you want to do lineups its a good idea to go into practice and time your snakebites/orbs. 10:00 Actually using your orb + wall at the same time is really strong on SOME instances on ATTACK (for example if your team is rushing the bomb). Your smokes go down very fast if you do both (10 sec). As such, if this is a strategy you want to employ, make sure your teamates are being aggresive when entering the bomb (for example on Ascent B, its very strong to use your wall on Market door and using your Orb on defenders Spawn, just make sure your team knows they should RUSH site and mayber close the door to market if possible for example).

IK im a little late but another viper tip. Never ever be relaxed and expect enemies to push through ur wall and smoke. Just today on bind, I caught a viper lacking on A short (IDK the damn callout) when a viper was comfortably walking with her knife out when i pushed through the wall like an absolute madman (I was braindead back then). It did not end well for that viper, and it was also the match point for our team. We won that round because of my smooth brained action.

Another useful tip for Viper, if you know the enemy likes to get aggressive and do things like flash out of smokes. Throw your mollies on the inside of your walls/smokes so that enemies who push out of them will walk straight into the molly, making them both vulnerable and take quite a bit of damage while now also getting shot at.

Ok. I am just gonna say this. Viper? Most annoying enemy to encounter, but still outplayable if you use intuition. Although I hated dealing with viper, I didn’ want her nerfed, especially now! After getting screwed so much by enemy vipers, I decided to become one myself and I love it! Powerful character with lots of flexibility, but OH MY GOD! THE NERFS ARE PAAAAINFULLL!

The first tip is only if u have single controller. If u have double controller, pre place the wall before the round at the same spot every round even if u ain’t hitting the site or using it. You can lurk with it and it fakes info

When you turn your graphics to low you can see enemies faster then when you have them on high. Just because there is a small effect on the bottom of the wall :)
