There is..but 180 degrees clockwise and counter-clockwise are the same thing so we just say 180 degree rotation. You will get the same coordinates whether going 180 clockwise or counter-clockwise. The only reason one would have to mention clockwise or counter-clockwise for 180 degree rotation is to describe the direction they went in.

The only time a tack would be placed on A, B or C is if the center of rotation is around one of the three given points. If a tack was on point B, the coordinates of B would not be allowed to change because the remainder of the shape is being rotated around it. The other points will change their location. When the shape is rotating around the origin (0,0), there will be no tack attached to any point. The tack would be at (0,0). Hope this helps a little!

I do not. However, rotating an object 270 degrees around the origin is the same thing as rotating 90 degrees the opposite way you are rotating 270 degrees. For example, a 270 degree clockwise rotation is the same as a 90 degree counter-clockwise rotation. A 270 degree counter-clockwise rotation is the same thing as a 90 degree clockwise rotation. Either way you will end up in the same quadrant. Hope this helps!

THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO. I was confused between 90 and 270 degrees rotation, I didn't know which coordinate was suppose to be switch to its opposite. This video has been very helpful!

Using the example (-2,2) as your center of rotation, draw a straight line FROM a vertex of the shape you are rotating TO the location (-2,2). Draw another line FROM (-2,2) that would form a 90 degree angle with the first line that was drawn and make sure it the same length as the first line. The end of the second line will be where your new point should be located. Sorry I do not have the picture or video to demonstrate. I will try to make a video when I have some time. @125Angels
