I love my bonsai Mikawa Yatsubusa. It´s still in traning, but it´s getting there in about 5-7 years time. I would love that Allens Gold. The spring color is totally amazing and the pine bark look, what´s not to like.

Unfortunately, Allen's gold is not available in Europe. So I will keep to sow seeds of Nishiki gawa or Arakawa until to find a rough barked #japanesemaple with interesting spring color

Thank u guys soo much for this video. I would love to see another 5 unique maples for bonsai. Domed and lateral growing ones. I have at least 15 diff maples from u guys im working on bonsai with and as far as grafts go u can always hide them at the back of the tree so they dont face the front. Thanks guys u know maples the best and these look great for bonsai. #japanesemaples. BONSAI! also for people who want to read i picked up bonsai with japanese maples by peter adams ..great book!

At what age do you suggest doing airlayer on a tree? I have some 1 gal maples but not sure if i need to grow them more
