When you tie-up the root-stock, do you hear any whimpers of a tiny boy coming down the beanstalk? Or, an itty bitty Whoville toot'n elephant??

No this episode is a Gem🔥. I highly appreciate the knowledge and effort to help us understand how to graft👌🏻. I will probably watch this episode 10 times easily! Thank you MrMaple for sharing this info! #japanesemaples #MapleMafia❤️🍁🔥.

Thanks Fellas. Another great episode, I feel like I come away with more questions after each one of these you put out. I may have to come 3000 miles to an open house and just pick your brains in the future.

I really appreciate you talking to us about grafting. Thank you! What temperature ranges should we keep our newly grafted trees? The baggy over the scion would keep it moist, but shouldn't the root stock also be kept in a moist, warm setup? If so, should the Anderson pot graft be in a baggy?

Can I use wild maple( I believe it is Norway maple) as a root stock. The seeds fly into my yard and grow like weed.

Great video! Is there a site where I can find if a Maple has PBR?
@MrMapleShow11 ай бұрын
Not that I know of. It typically just requires research on each cultivar. If they do have a PbR or patent they should arrive with documentation on the label. It’s best to check though

I grafted some maples a few weeks ago but the grafts dont seem to be growing. How long does it usually take before ill know if its worked or not?

Typically the grafts leaf out soon. You should see activity on the rootstock also

Mr Maple, I know you have relatives with Maple and Boxing history. Do you have any distant uncles, aunts or cousins who were Ginkgo Geeks in the past?

Im sure this isnt an original idea/thoughts but i wonder if you could use a drill bit on the scion. Drill to cambium and fit onto the root stocks exposed cambium (however you spell it)
@MrMapleShow11 ай бұрын
No the cambium alignment has to be very detailed. A drill would make a mess of the parts needed.
