I love going out for some wild veg. It's quite incredible how many aquarium hobbyists, particularly ones with planted tanks, end up being interested in wild foods and plants. Definitely opens up your eyes to the greater landscape.

It is great to involve your little girl in this endeavor, I have done this also and my youngest a 12-year-old boy now has his own two tanks of Endlers and now has some Black Rose Shrimp to keep also. I take him collecting native plants, fish, ghost shrimp, crayfish and mussels here in Northeast Florida. A great way to teach him what lives in his environment and why to keep it healthy. Plus keeping our aquatic hobby alive and well with the next generation. GREAT VIDEO My Friend I love making my own aquatic foods and other DIY projects.

Mark. This one of most important video in your series. Homemade food are the best food. Could you do a new one with list of leaves. Vitamin or mineral to go with. Or what the different if you feed shrimp dry or paste or stick. Or what natural food that bring colour out in them.

Hi Mark a few questions please 1) Since the food was not fed in the bowl, wont the left over polytase and other other items stink in the tank and deteriorate the water quality? I mean its advisable to serve food in the bowls, right? 2) How important is Polytase in this recipe, can we avoid it without loosing much? 3) Is this food complete alternative to store-bought food? 4) In another video you chose natural dried leaves to make the food, but here you used green leaves and then oven-dried , is one recipe better than the other? Thanks.
