What if the Red Hair Pirates and Cross Guild end up joining forces? The only one who wants to become Pirate King out of those crews seems to by Buggy. And if there is going to be a battle vs the Straw Hats, I would rather see that than seeing a bunch of people from Shanks crew that have never had any speaking lines. The only people I know from Shanks crew are Ben Beckman, Yasopp and Lucky Roo. At least with Criss Guild we've had interactions with all of the main characters. I think Luffy will face Blackbeard before he faces Cross Guild/Red Hair Pirates for the One Piece.

If Egghead is the inverse of Sabody, then it makes sense for Luffy to succeed now when Kidd and Law have failed. This would be to opposite result of Sabody, where Luffy's crew got wiped out while Kidd and Law's crews survived and proceeded into the New World

There was an Ohara video pointing out Oda writing arcs that were the inverse of the first half compared to the second half (Alabasta/Dressrosa, Enies Lobby-Thriller Bark/Whole Cake-Wano), so Sabaody with Egghead is perfect. One key difference in the scenes of Law & Kidds defeats and Luffy's current situation that I immediately noticed; is that the former two were both trying to attack Yonko's in their home territory while Luffy is the one being attacked by the Navy in what is essentially HIS territory.

I think people want him to take a L that means something. So far outside of sabaody and marineford Luffy hasn’t taken an L where he’s lost something. It’s usually he loses suffers no consequence. A certain group want him to lose and suffer some sort of consequence with this loss. For example say he loses then the straw hat grand fleet comes to get him out of impel down (randy Troy theory) that would be amazing for the story

I think it's also important to note with this idea of Egghead mirroring Sabaody but with Luffy winning means the final saga of One Piece may somewhat reflect the Sabaody-Marineford saga, but with Luffy accomplishing win after win, instead of scraping by from defeat after defeat. It may be less of a story of Luffy desperately and luckily scraping by to make it to a war where he's hopelessly outmatched, and instead a story of Luffy preparing himself for an all out war, calling all of his allies from the sidelines, and then headlining the event like Whitebeard did all those years back.

Now that Garp is captured I'm fully expecting this to snowball into a reverse Marineford, where Buggy + Blackbeard team up to take down Luffy and nab those poneglyphs by using his gramps as bait. Only question is whether the WG will decide they're busy that day.

I've always thought this was the moment for the SH to show what differences or distinguishes them from the other 3M bounty crews (Law and Kid) since Luffys crew is the only one being acknowledged as a YONKO. It doesn't make sense for me if Luffy takes an L in EggHead while also taking an L outside of EggHead (Garp going missing). He's the new established Yonko crew so I see fit that we start seeing these four yonko crews going head to head in this race for the OP actually hyping up the new generation as actual contenders.

Post Egghead, Egghead is considered to be the Strawhats home base, similar to Hachinose for Blackbeard, Elbaf for Shanks, Wano for Kaido, etc. Official or unofficial, a Vegapunk or more will be a part of the Strawhats. Next arc, Vivi will take her rightful place in the crew, and fill the spot Oda's been teasing at filling since Dressrosa. Finally, the crew moves to Elbaf, where what starts as a Davyback fight with the Redhair pirates, turns into a traditional Shounen power scaling battle between Luffy and Shanks as ideals are challenged, and Luffy is forced to prove that He is Him. Willing to bet we then get the final war with the World Government post Elbaf, before the series wraps up with Luffy making his final journey to Laugh Tale. Luffy and friends all party with the giant bottle of Bink's Sake, The End.

Not only Luffy should be considered a Yonko, the story can now scale accordingly. Remember in Naruto where the jump from basic elemental jutsu to mountain-destroying ones was super sudden? This can happen now in One Piece, but it's EARNED that boost. We stood in awe when Whitebeard created a tsunami with his bare hands in Marineford. Well, now that level of power is the norm, or at least close to it. Luffy's Nika powers, Shanks's monstruous haki, Blackbeard's expert DF usage, Garp and Koby's Impacts, and who knows what the Gorosei and the God Knights are capable of. Unlike other series, I think One Piece earned its right to do landscape-leveling battles. And even if it doesn't have any, it's still a highly engaging series. One Piece will be sorely missed when it's over, so let's enjoy it while we can.

Pretty crazy, if you think about it, in the last gen after White Beard defeat, Shanks was surrounded by an Yonko he wasn't friendly with, Kaido, Big Mom, and Blackbeard. Kizaru is one of the least serious admirals, so it makes sense there. The biggest reason he was so much trouble in Sabaody is because nobody had Haki in the crew, and there was no clear counter like with other logia users before. Honestly, if this is a warm-up, then it would be a warm-up for what they should expect going forward.

I was actually thinking the same thing, Luffy needs to prove to the world that him becoming Yonko was not a mere fluke. And honestly, with the sheer might of Egghead island, allience with CP agents (and possibly a team up with black beard pirates?), they might be able to pull it off. First of all, I do not think Saturn will fight directly in this conflict, since it would be too risky for him to engage. If the marines lose Saturn, not only they will lose control over Seraphims, but also destroy their reputation. I think Saturn will take the control over Seraphims and will examine the fight from afar. Luffy's main opponent will be Kizaru and other strawhats will have to deal with Seraphims, as well as Punk records and CP agents would have to hold off other ships. The marines will gradually lose the battle and the last straw for retreat could be the defeat of Kizaru. This way, strawhats will prove themselves as a powerhouse of the New World and WG will take over Seraphims for the final battle.

Urouge is from a sky island, and Elbaf appears to have a gigantic mountain or tree, so one theory suggests that a sky island (asgard?) exists on top of Elbaf. Gan Fall in Skypeia also mentioned a place called High West were you could get to Sky Islands, and Elbaf is in rhe western side of the world, so all things point to that, thus Urouge being the supernova there makes sense.

Completely agree with all of this. I see way way way too many people that think that the strawhats will get destroyed. Completely missing the narrative that is being set up and also the point of the Nika plot twist was to reframe Luffy away from the rubber man that always has to bounce back, getting knocked down but always coming back up again. It would make no sense to just immediately return to the structure of Luffy gets destroyed by antagonist and then has to bounce back from that defeat and overcome the challenge to improve. He is now one of the very best and just needs to prove it, not improve to become one of the best. 15:00 I don't like this part here. Stand by what you said and explained in this video instead of covering both sides to then give props to Oda for anything he choses to do. Randomly getting defeated here would just be a cheap plot twist for shock value and does nothing for the narrative that has been built up right now. Luffy since the NW takes Ls, I don't know how they read the manga, in every fight he needs several rounds to defeat the opponent and sometimes needs a little help, they are Ls and that's enough. Many people seem to have forgotten that the time skip took place to avoid a Sabaondy 2.0. Then that Luffy loses at Egg Head makes no sense at all! Apart from creating false tension, it adds nothing! Luffy has become protector of 2 islands, one of which is the one of the fish men. This island will be in blood and fire because of the other pirates, as Luffy has lost his title and will no longer represent a deterrent threat to attack this island! What will Shanks think? That Luffy isn't up to the job, he won't take him seriously as a rival for the OP. Same goes for BB Imu won't consider Luffy a threat, and neither will the WG. Luffy can't lose! he's got to show he's a real Yonko, he's got to scare the WG and Im of the threat he represents, that he'll soon bring them down! I don’t think luffy loses. I think he just gets checked. Luffy will always be Luffy w/ his personality but I do think the way he approaches situations could be different. But yeah the best outcome to me is that the strawhats come out victorious with a new state of mind. And maybe Oda could develop the weaker strawhats (USOPP). They’re starving 😭

It's simple, it needed to be showcased not only to the world of one piece but to the readers that Kid and Law did not deserve that 3 bil and only received it due to misinformation spread by Apoo. Luffy will succeed where they failed because he is worthy of his title, status, bounty etc. and more and the world of one piece and readers of the story need to know that before the final war begins. Edit: In my personal opinion Law should be realizing he shouldn't have left the strawhats and should be crawling his way over to egghead to beg them to let him back in lmao

Even if he found the poneglyph which says the true history on it by himself it's not like him or anyone on his crew would be able to read it anyway so he would have to make a rubbing and bring it back to the strawhats so Robin could read it to him lol. Law was a Warlord over the timeskip, plus he is also a D member. We'll see him again. He is intertwined with Luffy's story, from saving his life at Marineford and allying with him 3 times. Yes BB defeated him but BB is the ultimate big bad.

I am glady they were defeated. The pirate world is no joke, only the strong survives. Having i dont know 10 new pirates thinking they could win with ease just to be completely destroyed by the Yonkou or marines, shows that Moria words were right (the new world is nightmare). Only Luffy did not suffer this defeat because he have a crew of dreamers with strong wills, and trained two years instead of rushing into the new world. There was no more rivalry in my eyes in the moment Law was defeated by Doflamingo but Luffy was the one that achieved victory.

Is the opposite. Gorousei are old man that do paper work and they battle days are long gone. Their power comes from bureucracy not their fighting abilites like the Yonkou. So a Admiral would still be a problem for Luffy, but a Gorousei not that much (i hope).

@@hjlnbi luffy's Acoc can split the sky + he has FS , DF awakening, Gear 5, Internal destruction Coa (which even Admirals arent confirmed to have). Most importantly Acoc is primarily based on one's ambition & will power which luffy being the MC is obviously the best at. Kizaru will go down mid diff to high diff at max or will try to harm weaker SHs when he realizes Luffy is too strong for him. Luffy currently is way stronger than sabody old rayleigh.

@@jeromebranchetti6002 a pirate fight is never fair. Luffy also had to fight through multiple Tobi Roppo and tank several hits from Big Mom. And in the end, Luffy’s strongest attack overpowered Kaido’s strongest attack. And at every stage of the 1v1s, Kaido started off in better shape than Luffy, especially the last segment where Luffy started the fight off coming back from actual death. Cry and hate more, but Kaido himself admitted that Luffy was the first worthy opponent he’s had in many years. Kaido’s acknowledgment of Luffy’s strength is worth more than any fan’s acknowledgment, especially considering that’s Oda’s mouthpiece for telling us how strong he has gotten.

Kaido was whooping Luffy's ass so Luffy having low HP bar isn't an excuse. Big Mom used ⚡ on Luffy, am sure he was struggling to tank it 👍🏽. True at the end he overpowered Kaido which is an ass pull cos Luffy just said "power of friends, am going to win" That's why it doesn't feel earned. Bonus If Luffy is acknowledged by Kaido as a challenge in years, then 2 years ago before Marineford Kaido was playing rock paper scissors with Shanks instead of fighting. 😅

@@jeromebranchetti6002 you’re wrong. Luffy died. Both Momo and Law confirmed he died, as did Kaido. His fruit restarted his heart just like Enel’s did for him. Luffy still was fighting other people and taking damage from them. The fact that he didn’t defeat Ulti doesn’t mean he didn’t get hit. That argument’s dumb af. And Big Mom also landed physical blows on Luffy, not just Tenjin. People act like Kaido was just 1vX the whole time like he didn’t have a whole other Yonko on the roof with him. You act like all these other people actually did a ton of damage to Kaido. Scabbards did negligible damage. Yamato made him bleed a bit but wasn’t a serious threat to him. Zoro scarred him, which is really impressive, but even Zoro lamented that his best effort wasn’t even enough to make Kaido take a knee. The real truth is that Luffy dealt the VAST majority of damage to Kaido. Kaido was shopping Luffy’s ass until he came back to the roof understanding ACOC. At that stretch, Kaido was still doing very well, and Luffy was boxing hybrid Kaido in base, forcing him to use future sight and his drunken style. Kaido admits OUT LOUD TO LUFFY that Kaido is celebrating having a worthy opponent - something he doesn’t even credit Big Mom as being. And then Gear 5 Luffy was outperforming Kaido, even overpowering Kaido’s strongest ability. And it’s not an asspull at all. Luffy did the training to learn advanced armament, and all he really needed was his “aha” moment that you could do the exact same thing but instead infuse conqueror’s into it. The SBS has stated since the timeskip that Zoro’s proficiency is armament, Sanji’s is observation, and Luffy’s is conqueror’s because of his insane willpower. So it makes complete sense that Luffy’s ACOC would be immensely more potent than his ACOA. And in a series about willpower, having the MC’s biggest strength scale off it makes complete sense. People don’t say Green Lantern’s powers are an asspull because they’re based on willpower. Same shit. Its almost like Oda has been telling people since Alabasta that growth in the series comes from fighting immensely stronger opponents and rising to their level. It’s why CP0 stopped their mission to capture Robin and instead went to assassinate Luffy. They said “it’s too risky to allow him to fight the world’s finest” because they knew that fighting Kaido would grow Luffy exponentially.

Even Luffy's heart is mentioned to have a different bit when using G5 Ok aside from Luffy and Yamato no one had advanced COC so their attacks were shallow 👍🏽 It still doesn't change the fact that Luffy got 4 Major power ups + was getting saved left and right just to keep fighting. That's why the end is an ass pull and doesn't feel earned. I mention the 4 Major power ups because all of them in a vacuum give you a jump in power like future sights did against Katakuri... If Luffy just got Adv armament 1 against Katakuri and lands a blow in G4 he would almost 1 shot him Same for Adv armament 2 internal damage makes it almost impossible to tank any G4 attack Adv Coc is the difference between Yonko level and everyone else cos only a handful can do it. Awakening too makes you jump a tear or 2 in power And Luffy got all of them in 11 days just because 🤷🏿‍♂️ Hard stuff should be earned and they felt given that's why for some people Luffy should be there among the Yonko(even if he is there)

One disagreement, great video, new sub, i dont think Oda was trying to force a rivalry between the three sipernova crews. It seems like he was more or less establishing THEY were trying to establish a rivalry with Luffy. At every turn, they're trying desperately to keep up with Luffy who's major goal is still so far out of reach we the audience still have no idea what it really is. Law was a huge help in bringing down doffy, big mom,and by extension kaido. His entire purpose for aligning with the straw hats was fulfilled and his ambitions to be pirate king were most certainly secondary. You bring up in this video how people would never know the truth about wano in the wider world. The government has been trying to stem Luffy's rising tide since the beginning of enies lobby. The fact that he's had by far the hardest path of every crew, definitely gives him a battle hardened leg up in terms of crew and feats. He was ALWAYS the more serious threat.
