Chin mount didn't work out?

@MRMRS2wheeler yes just bought a 2007 ST1300 it has 50k miles , bought it from original owner. Reason I asked on mileage, I was wondering how many miles I'll have left on this bike. I Hear people sometimes have alternator issues.

With proper maintenance, I have seen st1300s with over 200k miles. Maybe people ignore scheduled maintenance and just ride until something breaks. I haven't Heard of many issues with the stator, more of the ECU which is becoming impossible to find. I replaced mine about 2 years ago. Take care of the bike and it will take care of you. The motor is bullet proof and can give you many years of service if you take care of it. You should join the st-owners forum, great folks and lots of useful info on these bikes. Congrats and enjoy your new ride 😁
