When I got my PS3, the first thing I did was ask for Spyro 1 again. I sat there playing Wizard Peak, and I was like "THIS SONG IS SO FAMLIAR........" and then my brother who was watching was like "It is..." then I was like "OH YEAH AMANDA SHOW 8D"

He then composed several soundtracks for movies and television, including Good Burger and the Amanda Show (1998). Nickelodeon didn't steal it. He plagiarized himself. Probably just for the heck of it.

I figured this out 2 weeks after I got spyro, I was 6 and my 14 year old babysitter liked to watch the amanda show when there was nothing else on and I go, "THAT SONG IN THE BEGINNING OF THE SHOW IS ALSO IN SPYRO." and she goes, " Spyro?" and I turned on the PS1 and I showed her because I was in the beastmakers world by then. @MrMusicAndWatch No, the music that sounds like it's from a Spyro game is the credits music. This video does not play the credits music, but the music that was prevelant in Wizard Peak. The Amanda Show credits music uses similar instrumentation as this song, though. This video should really be titled, "Wizard Peak: the Spyro Song that sounds like the Amanda Show Credits."

This isn't the Amanda Show credits theme. This is just Wizard Peak's theme. The Amada Show's credits theme uses bits and pieces of Wizard Peak's theme, not the whole thing.

Dancing lobsters were a part of The Amanda Show on Nickelodeon. He (or she. No spoilers here) was just making a joke because the show's theme song is the exact same theme from the Wizard's Peak level in Spyro The Dragon.

I was born 1995 and my brother was born 1997, we played most of the Spyro games from number one to Spyro Heroes or something like that. Bloody monkey level in the one GBA version was bugged I think, no matter how hard I tried I couldn't find the LAST FREAKING GEM to get 100% completion. I was very sad.

The music composer for The Amanda Show is the same one for Spyro the Dragon, so he just used his own song, not illegal. :P

True. He did compose both songs. But, that's not why this was legal to do. In fact, if Copeland (the composer) would have used the exact same song from Spyro in The Amanda Show with no changes made, he WOULD have been sued by Universal Interactive for copyright infringement, since they owned the distribution rights to Spyro, and thus, all assets pertaining to Spyro, at the time. Including, but not limited to, the soundtrack itself. The ACTUAL reason this was legal to do was because the Amanda Show theme is a re-arranged version of the Wizard Peak theme, and not the exact same track from the game that Universal paid for the rights to own and distribute. If this were the exact same song verbatim, then yes, it would be illegal despite Copeland composing it since he does not own the distribution rights to the Wizard Peak theme, only the intellectual rights. He signed away the distribution rights the moment he was paid by Universal to use the song in Spyro. Making them the final say in where/when the track can be used. Not him.
