Really sad about losing a lot of cool playable characters, but some arcs like Arlong park, Ussop village and Skypea was handled too well in OPPW3, the missions and maps was very comic/anime accurate, I really don't mind the fact that they just cut out and didn't make us go through all those arcs again with minor changes, because they're good enough in OPPW3.

really hope if pirate warriors 5 happens, they have all the characters here and the ones they dropped from 3(moria, Magellan, Ceasar, eneru and others) and add more even some that have never been playable(kuro, kreig and arlong and hoady) along with movie characters( like shiki and that gold guy) and characters from offshoot games(like red from world red, the guardian from the wii game way back) and maybe a fully original story like pirate warriors 2 had, PW5 has a ton of potential if it's handled right

Despite many complaints about the roster, this game improves a lot in gameplay and leveling characters, though more than half of technique type characters are just unplayable in hard mode, I hope koei tecmo will improve them in future game. And the 3rd dlc character pack is literally a joke, there characters with interesting power like Moria, Enel but nope we get 3 samurai that no doubt has some random moveset

The first Pirate Warriors Game, which lacks characters from previous entries of the series. What a shame. You could explain, that most of them got their arc deleted anyway, like Moria, Enel, Magellan. But there are still characters deleted, even though they appeared in arcs, that were shown in the game, like Perona, Caesar and others were even shown as NPCs like Garp and Kuma. Its just a shame, that so much was deleted (and I didn't even mentioned the costumes like the pre timeskip outfits of Chopper, Robin, Franky, Brook and Hawkins or the missing marineford costumes of Crocodile and Buggy)

Their probably saving all the characters for the last one when the manga is over. They will probably have everybody in there. I can see that they've made strides in the gameplay department. I feel their building up to the last one and will go out big. They weren't even going to make this game but due to how bad burning blood did this was the best selling game BY FAR for One Piece and 4 massively surpassed sales expectations. This makes me sad. I'm glad that I saw this before buying. I was definitely going to get it since it was on sale, but not anymore. They're missing so many characters and more arc's like Thriller Bark and Impel down. It looks like they just decided to skim the beginning of their adventure too, so there's no putting the team together. I was thinking that the roster from the last game would be here along with the new characters. Maybe the next one? It might be on a different console though so I'm just out of luck. I'm lucky that I bought 3 though. I'm still enjoying it. Multiplayer online is cool but it's not as fun when a random bulldozes through everything at max level while you struggle. It dulls the experience and makes the game less memorable.

i stopped playing cause i couldnt beat crocodile on easy level mission. the aim on this game was all over the place. i barely damage crocodile whereas croco could 2 hit me and im done. it feels like this game should be played with 2 characters no way im going to beat crocodile with little damage i got. plus this game load full minute on switch. should i return it? lol

Just play the first level a couple of times, and get used to the controls and techniques.I think each time you play, even when you lose, your characters gain experience. Equip your skills on your characters too. I only have the PW3, I didn't want 4 because of the changes made to it. I could name a few games for the PS4 that has minute long and worse loading times. The switch and Xbox One both have games that have long load times too. It just depends on what games you're playing and what's being loaded in. I think you should just keep it and play it when you're ready. Unless it's just not a game for you.

@@DBtheGhost2 yeah first time user of switch just got it 2 days ago. i think the problem was the aiming i had to go infront of the boss before casting skills and some skills go all over the place. since i had to go really close to boss he could trap and hit me literally 2hits my life was 0. i tried hit and run style but since i got no big damage its like wasting my 10 to 15 mins running around to attack him from behind then he traps me again and die😂😂😂😂

I bought the game because a friend was playing it and because I also bought PW3 back in 2015 and I enjoyed it but man, I was very disappointed with the story mode. How just how can you skip all of Romance Dawn, east blue, Skypiea, Thriller bark, Fishman Island and Punk Hazard ?? I understand that they wanted to divide the Arcs in different chapters, that's a good idea imo, but If it's at the expense of skipping a bunch of Arcs it's shit. Man, I said in Pirate Warriors 3 that while East Blue got ALOT of love for the stages you could play in, they lost out in other ways. For one, East Blue Villain models and movesets are good enough, but not good enough to be playable? No Kuro, no Arlong, no Don Krieg, no Wapol, no Mr. One, no Bellamy, no Ohm. With Pirate Warriors 4, it's even worse. Hody Jones wasn't playable in 3, nor is he playable in 4 which focuses on Timeskip story? Hm. No Perona, no Garp, no Caesar, no Magellan, no Kuma, no Gecko Moria, no Enel. This was very disappointing to me. The point of Musou games is to add MORE characters (and KEEP the previous installments' worth of characters) with each installment and keep building the roster. If you have 16 in game 1, you got 26 in game 2 (previous 16 + 10 more) and so on. You know. That old game Grand Adventure on the PS2 included all that East Blue goodness that made me happy. Wouldn't it be pretty cool to get Zeff, Kuina, and Vivi playable?
