You dont want to use soul reaper spec as soon as you hit 5 stacks, you want to keep the weapon hitting on 5 stacks as much as possible to utilize the damage boost, only spec when you absolutely need the heal.

I think it's really interesting how different people prefer different bosses. Opposite of NoSleep, I struggled with Whisperer but had a super easy time at Duke

exactly, whisperer is 'easier' untill its rage fase. My duke kc is 649 in a few weeks and whisperer is 17 xD i started with whisperer once dt2 was completed :(

I found doing a profitable boss or a chill boss for the first pet makes it way easier to grind. Like kraken or vorkath especially. Vork is a great first pet

I find it funny how we all struggle with different bosses for our own reasons. I found Duke to be pretty easy after 20ish kills, but I still can't get Whisperer down perfect after many attempts

I got the magus vestige at 1539 and havent gone back to Duke since. I got a virtus robe bottom very early on, at around 24 KC and another at around 900 KC. I got the eye of the duke precisely on rate and I had around 35 orb drops. It was quite a grind, but I'm glad I did it. EDIT; NO PET THOUGH. I havent considered going back for pet, because I dont particularly care for pets. Someday maybe!

It's interesting to me that you struggle with duke, but have the whisperer down after 3 KC... I personally struggle a bit with the whisperer, as there is a lot more variance in what can happen each kill... I also struggle with prayer flicking and integrating movement at the same time. Duke is really just straight foreward... Hit inbetween his melee's move to side for farts, stand behind pillar for eye. I've got nearly 1500 KC on Duke, but only 18 deaths and nearly all of those are from droning on the catwalk part where I don't pay attention to my run energy depleteing and I walk into a red laser lmao. I find Duke to honestly be the easiest solo boss in the game besides Kracken. All that, at the same time, I can't get down Whisperer, Vardorvis, or Leviathan.

I’m the same way. Vardorvis I’m finally starting to learn enough to do 2-3 kills per inventory but it can be so hard and so much variance and chaos. Such a struggle to learn, duke felt soo easy, 1500kc for me recently and about 20 deaths.

Just did my own 1000KC of duke. I made about 100mill in normal drops. Boosted my mage to 90 and crafted 2 rings both for about 55 mill each. So totally 220 mill gp. Think i got the first 1 at like 450 KC then the other at 560's. Right after I crafted the first one and sold it I got 2nd one and crafted it and sold it. Think Virtus head piece was at 600ish? My collection is 1 virtus head piece, 2 magus vestiges, 6 ice quartz 9 chromium ingots and 27 orbs. Died 25 times. Normally because either i got impatient and walked into the laser and got hit for 80 OR had Duke at less than 50 with no food left and I just tried weather him but he just stomped me out with multiple (5s) back to back.

Currently 6500 duke kc no pet 😂😅 11 magus 100 plus orbs, I hate it here😊 Edit: even at 6500kc the muscle memory of hitting with the fang only every 5 ticks often has you stepping into ice slams or worse eyes, at least with vard you can panic, if you get eyed at duke your basically 2 shot dead. It's very prone to lagging too, the prep and gas is terrible

Did 600 kills with scythe until ring, watching you use axe looks agonizing, if you have the cash and want to invest into this boss i highly recommend it, using fang after selling scythe was so painful i had to buy scythe back when i started to camp for pet, your inv set up is abismal, no hate just criticism, youre wasting a shit ton on supplies, for anyone wondering use summer pies as food (22HP per slot) same as angler, cheaper and IT RESTORES RUN, so youll cut out the cost of staminas, also just drink a sip of super combat per kill instead of wasting a whole divine, even if youre very quick at the prep phase its time wasted on the potion, plus its just agonizing to have to afk at all while the pot is running
