I watched this when I was younger and I’m 16 years old now. I still watch cartoon movies and shows that I watched when I was a kid now. Little did I know it was like 10 years old when I watched at like age 4 I know the math is wrong pretty sure it was like 9 years when I was 4 but I used to love it and still do. I grew up watching stuff my parents watched as kids so this was kinda nostalgic for me.

I love how Tom fully knows what his toy soldiers are capable of, and yet he does NOTHING about them UNTIL Mary brings it up, after most of the town is on fire and the toy factory is overrun. Brilliant.

I grew up on these movies too more than Disney.i mainly loved the Disney movies that weren't princess related accept pocahauntus. But I never watched them as much compared to ones like all dogs go to heaven. I'm a little different so I like some of the more real feeling and darker tones to both the story and the animation. This was however was shown in the brave little toaster as it has a darker feel to it in many places. I support it though as it helps kid experience the importance of fear as well as joy and helps them get a feel of what real evil is like in all dogs go to heaven.

It is intense. I remember few fairy tales from childhood and early childhood and this is one of them i was like 4-5 years. i also watched the cartoon show called fly and magical school bus in this age. Then i watched some czechoslovakian fairy tales which you dont probably know and when i learned to read, i read the Neverending story, this is kinda intense and also Brothers of lion heart from Lindgren, superintense and in the same age i also read the children version of Bible.

Man,I hated Barnaby in this movie, he is such a total jerk and a terrible uncle to his niece and nephew,Shame that he locked them in the attic and threatened to feed them to the goblins,that was very cruel. he only cares about making everyone lives grim and miserable like how he is and hates all happy things including Toys. Never watched this as a kid, only now experiencing this, and I'm 22 years old. Gotta say, it's on par with any other animated mid-late 90s movie for kids. Very enjoyable, if a bit bizarre by modern standards, which I never like to follow. All in all, despite the aged animation and choice in voice cast, it was very classy and childish, like a land of toys would be. I give this movie a solid 8.5 outta 10, purely for the laughs and color alone.

I'm just watching this just to find inspiration. I'm thinking of a theme park attraction for Toyland. Where its exteriors are that of an ordinary toy store except huge. But inside, each floor has a specific theme to every toy out there. And a demented toymaker would be a perfect guardian.
