I believe it was awhile back when you were on the Exploding Heads podcast, I heard you mention if a directors favorite movie is Scream, the movie is probably shit, lol just saw an interview with the director and cast interview of the Heretics, and the first thing the Director said is his favorite movie of all time is Scream, like ok I'm out, haha great 😂

I watched "Wicked" last week even though Musicals aren't really my cup of tea. Songs aside, it was decent. I knew that this wasn't part of Canon, including the original film. The story was clearly an indictment against racism. The Witch of the West being a pariah, even by her own parents as well as non-white characters wasn't lost on me. For some reason, this film's atmosphere reminded me of the live action version of The Little Mermaid that came out a year or so ago. The fx were decent except for when the green skinned Witch was born (Congratulations, you're the parents of a new baby Hulk). Then the disabled sister became that way because the father force fed the mother some concoction that must be made up like Snickberry Juice of some Dr. Seuss-like concoction. The make up people did make Cynthia Erivo prettier than Ariana Grande. It certainly is in Oscar contention as is Nosferatu. I don't want to jinx it, but the Oscars aren't as bigoted against genre films anymore. After The Weight Of Water and Parasite both taking home the big award when Psycho,, Jaws, The Exorcist didn't win, this could be big for Horror, the upcoming Oscars could be interesting. An interesting fact about the original Wizard Of Oz ; Billie Burke, who played Glinda The Good Witch of the North, was 53 when she shot the film. She was also referenced in Exorcist III. I also watched Infested, which was a decent film. I could have done without the dog being killed. But the aftermath was well done. I started out not liking Kaleb , the main character. He had exotic animals, which is a nice way of calling them wild and Venomous animals that belong in the wild. I don't mind reptiles but snakes, tarantulas, gators, cobras and boa are out of the question. A guy in my town had a pet constrictor that strangled his 4 year old daughter. Since then, I have been for wild animals staying in the wild. I followed that up with Sting. I liked it better than Infested. In this one, you didn't know who the monster was, the spider or the creepy little girl. I could have made the movie much shorter. I would lure the spider outside on a sunny day then hold a huge magnifying glass until it caught fire. Joking aside, while I was calling the kid creepy, I started to remember when I played with ants, worms and caterpillars. I did that when I was that age. I think that was how I became compassionate about animals. I also watched Arcadian as well. I actually liked it. The film was atmospheric and Nicolas Cage wasn't bad in it. The creatures were pretty cool with the headbanging and moving around by rolling.
