It’s a work permit, not a bridge to PR. If it expires, either enroll in a study program, get a legitimate job offer, or go home. It’s ridiculous that you’d protest on something that’s written on your permit (Leave after expired). You all are making us south Asians who have been here for over a decade, look bad. Go home!

I have a feeling that if you do any of these NOC jobs just to get PR it might get flagged. For example, you worked in finance for 3-4 years. Then show a welder job in India for 6 months to qualify for a trades draw. There will be some scrutiny placed on that work experience as it doesn’t align with your education or past work experience. I don’t think inland will have an issue but Outland applicants will. We will start hearing more about this as people try to fit into the draws. Just a prediction, as IRCC likes to track where PRs end up working after getting here.

@@huhujojo1968 I don’t think it’s wrong per se but I think they’ll start asking for 3 years work experience and reduce NOCs because people will do the bare minimum and take the easiest route (maybe even run payroll) to qualify rather than be legit tradesmen/ healthcare workers. Our people are by nature prone to this behaviour, the West doesn’t understand this.

IRCC will realise this late as they always do, and we’ll see a new wave of fake tradesmen, healthcare workers stream in next year. International students you can stay and study. But just because you are studying and working you can’t get a PR and then become Citizen. This rule applies even in US and Singapore no country will give your PR so easy. So many people in Canada who have become Citizens are after years of struggle but international students just think they are better off than others then sorry to say, either you wait years or return where you came from.

Canada is giving too much invitations just in a span of two month. This will under value the privilage of being PR soon. Australia just released the FY24-25 PR qouta to all states and its around 26,500 for entire year and they will hardly invite 15,000 max, on other hand Canada sent same amount of invitations just in 1 months.
