2014 Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe PP (487hp) - pure SOUND (1080p)

First sound check of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe with optional Performance Pack delivering 487 hp and 600 Nm of torque out of a 6.2! liter naturally aspirated V8. I already had the opportunity to drive a C 63 T-Modell 2 years ago and was really impressed by the sound of the engine and the gearbox back then. Even today, after testing numerous high-performance cars this unique looking Coupe is still something very special. Especially if you watch the V8 revving up to 7.200 rpm and follow the quick gear shifts of the 7G-Tronic Speedshift transmission you will fall in love with this car. The sound at lower speeds is not as aggressive as some active exhaust systems will be, but above 4.500 rpm the thunder just growls through the country-side. What do you think about this outgoing classic, especially compared to the 2015 Mercedes AMG C63 that now will have a 4.0 Bi-Turbo with up to 510 hp? Top wie immer, freue mich schon aufs komplette Drive&Sound Video... Wird was besonderes... Denn der letzte großartige Sauger (mit dem 4.2 FSI von Audi) verschwindet von dieser Welt, um durch kostensparende und auf dem Papier umweltverträglichere Triebwerke ersetzt zu werden :( Man sollte diese letzten Jahre mit "echten" Motoren noch wirklich genießen bevor alles aufgeladen sein wird :)

TheLukas12364 Vom Sound her sind diese Motoren schon wirklich fast unschlagbar, aber bei der Leistungsentfaltung (wirst du im Drive & Sound sehen;-)) sind Motoren wie der Bi-Turbo im neuen M4 einfach gnadenlos überlegen. Auch beim Sound haben sich die Hersteller glücklicherweise was überlegt wie man Hubraum zumindest teilweise ersetzen kann. Nichtsdestotrotz, großvolumige Saugmotoren haben vom Klangspektrum her einfach eine Sonderstellung, da hast du Recht.

raffmaxi Das C 63 AMG Coupe ist das letzte Derivat mit dem 6.2 Liter Motor im Mercedes Line-up neben dem SLS. Beide laufen diese Jahr aus und werden durch den 4.0 Liter Biturbo in C 63 und AMG GT abgelöst. Alles ab E-Klasse hat dann den 5.5 Liter V8-Biturbo mit bis zu 585 PS.

yeyeye neger Das kann sein, dass AMG den gleichen Block wie im 45 AMG verwendet, im V-Vormat versteht sich. Allerdings würde ich daraus nicht schließen, dass der Motor besonders gut oder schlecht ist. Der neue M3 zeigt eindrucksvoll, dass Downsizing einen enormen Vorsprung in der Leistung als Folge haben kann, auch der neue 5.5 Liter im CLS geht viel besser als der alte 6.3...und klingt immer noch sehr sehr gut!

Wie die alten einfach besser klingen. Das liegt zum einen an der klassischen Saugrohreinspritzung und zum anderen am größeren Hubraum, wodurch das Auto lauter sein darf.

Which one for example , i´ve been already looking for some but nothing compares to AMG. Why BMW doesn´t build such exhaust Systems on stock , its not easy to find an exhaust afterwards which is comparable to AMG . If you have a good advice then go ahead...

Markus Müller yeah you're right amg's have better sound them M's but your 545 is not an M and it has a really quiet stock exhaust. For example look at my e500 in my videos it was very quiet and then i put a straight pipe on it, which you can hear in my videos. Id say you need a straight pipe or eisenmann exhaust
