I was lucky enough to be cast as one of the dancers in the South African version. It is still one of my fondest memories as a professional dancer. What a show. What brilliant choreography.

I saw this with the original cast on Broadway when I was a kid. It was wonderful and Harry Groener was amazing!

I saw this show in Dallas in the early 90s. Forever after, "Someone to Watch Over Me" has been one of my top 5 favorite songs.

I was lucky enough to see this show in London in 1995. The slap the bass number was a real showstopper. Great show overall . I am sorry that I also saw “ Starlight express”.

This was a sensational show. One showstopper after another and the best Gershwin songs. This was a never to be forgotten night. Susan Stroman's dances. Totally wonderful. And it was also very funny.

Ugh this show is so amazing. Just the full company performances of Slap That Bass and I Got Rhythm alone are just amazing. I had the privilege of being cast in a local production of this show. So much fun.

It is such a crime that they didn't professionally filmed the full show with Harry Groener for release. It's so infuriating. I so wish he had choose to work in movies instead thwy way I could see more of him and more so because he is such an incredibly talented underrated actor. He deserved so much better.

I was watching this looking for Beth Leavel. (She player Tess, one of the chorus girls who has a bit of a part). She has 3 different outfits during this segment - one for each song - and at least 2 wigs.

cthlulu And notice when Beth comes out for the finale part - Casey Nicholaw is next to her (on the end). This was his first broadway show and the first she originated in. (Her only previous broadway credit was replacing in 42nd street.) First Tony Awards appearance for both of them.
