Having worked in Tailoring for over 25 years, I can confidently say that all Kiton, Brioni & Isaia Suits are not Hand Made. they are Hand Finished. Majority of these Suits are still manufactured by Machines. Just by Stitching the Breast Pocket or Button Holes by Hand, does not make it a Hand Made Suit. All The Interlinings, and Canvassing is Done by Machine. I still do not understand, why People would pay £5-6-7,000 for a Off the Peg Suit from these Brands when you can go to Savile Row and get a Proper Fully Hand Made Pure Bespoke Suit perfected to Suit your Frame for £5,000.

Will Kiton ever invest in some more durable fabrics? When people spend 6k dollars on a suit, they usually want it to last longer than 2 years before it's worn out.

Have you had experience? Are you sure you have looked after the garment properly in order to protect the fabric?
@piccalillipit9211 Жыл бұрын
Probably not - I worked with a guy 2 decades ago who had the exact same complaint. If you want a durable suit of outstanding quality try Redmayne 1860 - he is in America next week, he works with the very very best English cloth from Dougdlaes [they condition their cloth in damp stone wearhouses] and Fox Bro's

If you’re spending $6,000+ on a suit, you’re not wearing that suit everyday, you have several, with each serving a different purpose cut from a different cloth. You’re not going to wear a super 150’s wool suit everyday, it won’t last.
@asdf072xxp3 жыл бұрын
Can we talk about the sheer idiocy of buying this level of suit from an online retailer? If you're putting this much capital into a suit, you're paying for a personal fit experience with multiple fittings.

Christian Eduardo if i was a millionaire I still wouldn’t buy a 700 euro t shirt. You don’t get my point. There is no way that the production costs are that high to ask such an astronomical price
@luchador4life4 жыл бұрын
@@realmadridstyle That's not true. First, they're using some of the rarest fabrics on the planet, fabrics they often will buy at auction, meaning the prices of the raw materials can be quite high. A typical shirt takes about 2.5 yards of fabric, and some fabric can go for over $2000/yard. So just the raw materials themselves could make a garment cost thousands of dollars before it's even assembled. Then it's designed. What is the cost of a master designer to create a garment worth? And in this video, each garment is made by hand. Cutting and sewing each garment can take over 10 hours with this method. These people aren't making minimum wage. These are highly skilled craftspeople doing intensely laborious work. In Italy, skilled tailors make around $30/hour. So that's $300/shirt. Plus materials. Plus design. Plus packaging, marketing, and shipping. And then the company needs to make money. So $700 is quite reasonable for what you're getting with this product. They don't charge that much because they think it'll attract people. This is just what premium handmade garments from the best tailors in the world will cost. There's quite literally nothing "regular" about these shirts.
